Forney (Texas) 2026 four-star running back Javian Osborne is set to visit Oregon this weekend beginning on Friday, he announced on social media.

Osborne is the nation’s No. 47 overall prospect, No. 4 running back and No. 5 recruit from Texas in the 2026 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 rates Osborne higher than the other major recruiting services. He ranks No. 20 nationally and is the top running back in the 2026 On300.

Oregon already has one top-30 2026 recruit committed

Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain four-star defensive lineman Tony Cumberland joined Oregon’s 2026 recruiting class back in September. He is the No. 30 overall recruit in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking.

The 6-foot-4.5, 285-pound Cumberland told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons in January that he is locked in with the Ducks.

“My commitment to Oregon is 100%,” Cumberland told On3. “I talk to the coaches about two to three times a week, we talk for about an hour and everything is going well. Oregon was a school I liked growing up, I loved my visit up there and it just felt right. My feeling is the same today as it was the day I committed.”

It came down to the people up there.

“Oregon felt like home. I go to all of these colleges, and it was confusing at first, but the family vibe at Oregon made it different there. Everyone is united there. It is one big family. It is not just the coaches, but everyone there supports each other and it just felt right.

“That family vibe is what makes Oregon stand out. Oregon has what I am looking for.”

The in-state Texas Longhorns are trending early for Osborne in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

“I’m big on relationships so definitely the relationships with Coach (Tashard) Choice and (running backs analyst Dalton) Williams are a huge factor,” Osborne told Inside Texas in March. “And to me, I feel that’s what stands out to me the most.”
