Amazon has given the go-ahead on a new documentary that will focus on Kansas City Chiefs superfan “ChiefsAholic” and his crime spree. The documentary is titled ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chiefs Clothing and tells the story of Chiefs superfan and serial bank robber Xaviar Babudar.

“Recognized for his distinctive wolf costume and boisterous social media antics, Babudar rose to fame as one of Kansas City’s most fervent fans,” the press release states, per Deadline. “However, a suspected secret life came to light when he was arrested in Bixby, Oklahoma in December 2022 for what police claim to be a string of bank robberies. Through interviews granted by Babudar himself, ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chiefs Clothing explores critical moments in the events surrounding Babudar’s arrest and offers a firsthand perspective on his subsequent journey.”

ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chiefs Clothing is produced by DreamCrew Entertainment, North of Now, and Five All in the Fifth Entertainment and directed by Dylan Sires. Rap star Drake is an executive producer for DreamCrew. The documentary was announced during Amazon’s Upfront presentation, but a release date was not revealed.

According to Fox 4 in Kansas City, Babudar allegedly stole $70,000 from the Clive, Iowa, branch of Great Western Bank on March 2, 2022. He then took the money to Missouri and deposited it into two separate locations into his personal savings account. Babudar went on to steal large amounts of money from different banks across the country before his arrest. He has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.

Chiefs will open 2024 season with two Super Bowl contenders

The news of the documentary comes as the Chiefs learn pieces of their 2024 schedule. They will open the season on Sept. 5 against the Baltimore Ravens and will then host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 15. The Chiefs are looking to be the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls and the first team to win three consecutive NFL championships since the Green Bay Packers in the 1960s.

Kansas City has a good chance to three-peat since head coach Andy Reid will be with the team for a long time. Last month, the Chiefs announced that Reid signed a contract extension with the Chiefs that will keep him under contract through the 2029 season.

“I’m incredibly grateful to Clark [Chiefs owner Clark Hunt] and the entire Hunt family for giving me the opportunity to lead this historic franchise,” Reid said, via a Chiefs press release. “Over the last 11 years, Tammy [wife Tammy Reid] and I have enjoyed calling Kansas City our home.
