23XI Racing announced Friday that Corey Heim will pilot the No. 50 Toyota in the Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway on June 30.

23XI, which fields two full-time entries in the No. 45 (Tyler Reddick) and No. 23 (Bubba Wallace), will field a third for Heim to race in at Nashville. Mobil 1, which signed an expanded deal with Toyota Racing Development earlier this year, will sponsor the No. 50 car. This will be the second appearance for the No. 50 car this Cup Series season, with Kamui Kobayashi behind the wheel at COTA back in March. Kobayashi finished P29.

“I’m very thankful for this opportunity I’ve been given by Mobil 1 to compete with 23XI in Nashville,” Heim said in a statement. “Through my time with Toyota, I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people, including those from Mobil 1.

“We have seen this season how strong 23XI’s Camrys have been, which makes me even more excited to get behind the wheel in Nashville. I’m putting in the effort to be prepared for this opportunity and cannot wait to get on-track with the No. 50 Mobil 1 Toyota team in a few weeks.”

Corey Heim performs well in place of Erik Jones at Dover and Kansas

Heim made his Cup Series debut at Dover last month, filling-in for the injured Erik Jones in the No. 43 Toyota for Legacy Motor Club. He finished 25th at Dover and 22nd at Kansas this past Sunday. The 21-year-old prospect has seven CRAFTSMAN Truck Series wins, two coming this season at COTA and Kansas. He has appeared in six Xfinity Series races this season, finishing a career best P4 at Richmond.

Heim is a leading candidate to get a full-time ride in the Cup Series next season.

“We are excited for Corey to join the 23XI team in Nashville as he helps us celebrate our partners at Mobil 1 and its 50th anniversary,” 23XI president Steve Lauletta said. “Corey is undoubtedly an up-and-coming star, and we look forward to working with him as he prepares to race at Nashville. Mobil 1 has a history of working with some of the best young talent in racing, and I can’t think of a better person than Corey to drive the No. 50 Toyota at Nashville.”
