Irish Happy Hour: Florida State football season opener has kickoff time, network

Florida State kicks off its 2024 season abroad, with the highly anticipated “Aer Lingus College Football Classic” taking place on Saturday, August 24 in Dublin, Ireland. Now, the Seminoles know when toe will meet leather inside Aviva Stadium.

Florida State will kick off at 5 p.m. local time — Irish Standard Time — meaning back on the east coast of the United States, Seminoles fans can watch their game against Georgia Tech at Noon. The game will be carried on ESPN.

In addition to the announcement of Florida State’s opener, kickoff time for the Seminoles’ second game against Boston College was released. As is customary for a Labor Day game (Monday, September 2), the ‘Noles will kick off against the Eagles in prime time — at 7:30 p.m. — inside Doak Campbell Stadium. The game will also be carried on ESPN.
