The Green Bay Packers‘ secondary apparently didn’t get the memo that Justin Jefferson is one of the best receivers in all of football. The former LSU star has absolutely torched their secondary in the first half to the tune of six catches for 158 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Check out the play below, where the Packers’ secondary leaves him completely wide open. He catches the ball at the 19-yard line, runs down the right sideline, and makes a defender miss at around the four-yard line. Then, Jefferson dives into the end zone from a few yards out for the 36-yard touchdown.

The touchdown put the Vikings up 17-0 late in the first half. Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been furious with his wide receivers, as Christian Watson had a critical drop on what would have been a touchdown.

The Vikings won the game 23-7 and the end result was never in doubt. The former LSU star finished the game with an amazing stat line, nine catches for 184 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Jefferson is clearly enjoying operating in his new head coach, Kevin O’Connell’s offensive scheme.

O’Connell came to the Vikings from the LA Rams. During his second season as the offensive coordinator for the Rams, O’Connell helped guide them to a 23-20 Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Many people in the offseason projected a big season this year for Jefferson. He’s off to a scorching hot start and has shown that he’s one of the toughest wideouts in the league to defend.
