Oregon State transfer Talia von Oelhoffen cut her list down to four on Friday, Kentucky joining USC, Louisville and Colorado among finalists.

How did UK head coach Kenny Brooks respond? By bringing the 5-11 guard to Lexington for a visit Saturday morning, of course.

The All-Pac-12 honoree made the trip to Kentucky where she sat down with Brooks and his staff for breakfast to hear their recruiting pitch, one that included a very special guest: Rajon Rondo.

Von Oelhoffen shared some photos from Saturday’s meeting where she was seen FaceTiming the former Wildcat star and four-time NBA All-Star with Brooks in the background.

“Just met my idol,” she said. “Don’t text (please) I can’t do this today.”

This comes after von Oelhoffen’s list cut edit went viral on Friday, using the popular video game Fortnite to announce her four finalists, replacing the towns with her potential landing spots in the graphic.

Von Oelhoffen was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and All-Pac-12 Defensive Team after averaging 10.7 points, 5.0 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game as a junior. She helped lead Oregon State to a 27-8 record before falling to eventual champion South Carolina in the Elite Eight, starting in all 35 games she appeared in.

Now one of the most coveted transfers in the nation, Kentucky has a chance to make yet another major splash in the Kenny Brooks era.

He’s building a Final Four roster, folks. Now it’s on von Oelhoffen to decide if she wants to join it.

Getting a helping hand from Rajon Rondo doesn’t hurt.
