After dominating SEC competition, the Kentucky men’s tennis team will host the opening rounds of NCAA Tournament action in Lexington for the fourth consecutive year.

Kentucky earned the No. 5 overall seed in the 64-team field. The Wildcats will open NCAA Tournament action against DePaul at 4 pm EST on Friday. If they advance, they’ll take on the winner of Toledo and Illinois, who get the action started at the Hillary J. Boone Tennis Complex at 1 pm EST.

The match that decides the regional winner will take place on Saturday at 4 pm EST. The winner advances to next weekend’s Super Regional. The Wildcats fell in last year’s quarterfinal to Virginia as the tournament’s No. 4 overall seed.

Led by head coach Cedric Kauffmann, the Kentucky men’s tennis team went 24-2 in the regular season, including an unblemished 14-0 mark in SEC play. The Wildcats won the SEC regular season and conference tournament title in the same season, something that’s happened only one other time in program history.
