I understand that Carolina has engineering disciplines. At UPC, those courses of study, including architecture, majors specific to textiles, agriculture, forestry, the automobile industry, the medical field, and other non-humanities make up a larger percentage of the curriculum.
I'm not discounting the science and technological majors that USC offers, only pointing out that Carolina also offers more of the "softer" majors than UPC. Plus, as I stated, those UPC people network and have a fierce loyalty to that place. They help each other to an uncommon degree. I've seen evidence of that in places where I have worked - one in particular.
I might add that my brother, daughter-in-law, and father all received degrees from USC.
