Guess we are talking playoff bracket here? I believe 2 of the teams you mentioned could be a factor in the 1a east bracket Pamlico and Northampton. I think Riverside is a team that could make some noise come October that no one is talking about.

Riverside normally goes 1AA. Pamlico lost their coach and a couple of their big offensive weapons. It’ll be interesting to see how they do this year.

Yeah it's hard to talk 1A ball in the east without the big elephant in the room. Lol

I’d like to see Southside return to form like when they were battling Plymouth a couple years back. I mean Southside was a couple bounced balls and a wide open dropped pass away from playing in back to back state championships.

Northampton County is my pick though.

Rosewood will be a definite contender assuming they are small again...and I wouldn't be surprised if North Duplin was back in the mix. Both teams very well coached and get the most out of their kids.

Tarboro and Edenton again in big 1a east. there will be no challengers for them in the east.

I can agree with that. I saw some film of some of their scrimmages. They look better than they have been in awhile.

Hobbton Wildcats may still be a year or 2 away but 2nd year Coach Joe Salas has done a great job improving that program could potentially be a sleeper in small 1A east or west as they sometimes tend to place them
