The small schools don't get enough respect from the big schools. Just look at all the great skill players who have come out of the 1-A and 2-A ranks in recent years: Javonte Williams of WRH and Todd Gurley of Tarboro probably top that list - feel free to add more who are playing big time collegiate football (or NFL).

Only thing I can say is look at WF vs WRH. They had MORE quality athletes. WRH was dead tired at the end. We gained WF respect. That means a lot to our kids

Nah, disagree, bro. Size and depth are factors, in my opinion. You can often see 175 lbs linebackers on 1A and 2A teams, sub 200 lbs linemen. You may see 45 players with given 1A and 2A rosters. Of course, there are some exceptions to that trend. You have a couple of players here and there who have the prototypical size in the lower classifications, but for the most part, the players and rosters are smaller.

I went to a few Texas small 6A(over 3000 students, they have big small like NC) games and the lineman were avg 6'4" to 6'6" 300 plus on the offensive line.

They had defensive ends that ran 4.5/40 speed. Numbers do make a difference.

Bro it all boils down to numbers. A school that has 3000 students to pick from is at an advantage from a school that has 500 and most of those playing both ways .

Pull MH and stick WRH in there and I'll take it.
