After all this discourse, if we are 2-2 going into Alabama which we know will be a loss, what would you be looking for in that game? From the coaches and the players? We come back home to play Vanderbilt and Miss St. 4-3 going into the Missouri game on the road.

This UK team couldn't beat a Southern Miss team with no 3-star players. Not sure why you think UK can beat Vandy or MSU.
Could happen but gotta be some changes. Defense gotta go to 4-3. Offense needs to go with Young at left tackle, Leavitt at right

I hope we are 2-2 before Alabama game. I just hope we can get everybody on same page by that time. I know the coaches are working hard to get that done.
For the players it should be a challenge to play Alabama, stranger things have happened. By that time they should be firmly decided if they intend to play or just go through the motions.
If we can give Alabama a tough game and gain some confidence, we might be able to at least split with Vandy and Miss State. We are not as bad as we looked against Florida and can only get better if the team comes together like they are capable. This team needs to decide if they are quitters or winners
The next two games are must wins. New Mexico State just beat New Mexico. If Stoops does not win the next two, he is done for sure
Alabama will drop this bunch like a used rubber. Their friggin cheerleaders and dance team could beat this bunch.

Lot can change in a few weeks but right now I can't see this bunch beating any SEC team and that includes SCAR at home..

we barely escaped ULL and EKU last year .....and we are looking worse this year. You are on effin crack if you assume we'll beat NM State and USC jr.
USC looks worse that we do. We are playing them at home. We win this game. It might be close or it could be a 30+pt win for us. They are HORRIBLE!!!! We will be 2-2 going into Bama and I hope we make a good showing.

I agree with the op. I think 2-2 Going into Alabama is what we will be. And I do think we will be 4-3 going into mizzou as well.
Thought I would bump this up to show the naysayers that you never know when the lights just gonna come on. Be a lesson next time you panic and throw in the towel after 1 game.

The NMSU was way closer than it EVER should've been and the SC game was tight til the end and decided by one score. So yes, being 0-4 heading to Bama was not far from the realm of a possibility so why the LOL?
Vandy and Miss St could've easily been losses as well. In any normal "UK football" year Vandy doesn't drop that end zone pass and we miss the kick against Miss St.
But we didnt! And the team has improved and we've got breaks that we never ever get and they deserve the credit they're getting at this point in the season. But let's not act like it was inconceivable to have a worse record that we do now.
The nonsense going on on this board has made this a particularly enjoyable season for me. I wouldn't be mad if more threads like these were brought back up.

On the road at the clear number 1 team in the country and we competed the entire game and didn't give up.. There was nothing pathetic about how we played Bama... And we have won our other 5 games... Look you were wrong.. And it's just funny how negative and wrong you were... It's pretty simple
Look I'm ecstatic about the turnaround but 98 percent of this board, national and local media, and most fans NEVER saw it coming and with good reason. They looked like ****.

Because we did look crap. And we had no idea USCjr, Vandy and MSU would be so bad either.
That said I would gladly have paid, we have met my goal for this season, everything else is icing on the cake for me. (Assuming we dont lose to AP)
Two reasons.
One: the wager was never offered to me.
Two: i don't. Never have. Will never if it's something out of my control, no matter how strongly i feel about something.
But maybe try not giving up after a couple games next time. It's a long season.

Also... I was right... we shouldnt of just assumed we were beating those two teams seeming how both were close games. No where did I say we would lose those games... I just said not to assume they were wins. and neither game was a cake walk.
