It really has nothing to do with line makers and everything to do with the amount of money being bet. Lines typically only move based on volumes of bets. More people are betting Missouri and Vegas is trying to balance the money by pulling in Cat fans. No more no less. Equal money on both sides. Vegas pockets the Vig.

Vegas wants people to win. People would quit playing if they did not every now and then. Trick for Vegas is to pay out as much as they take in and pocket the fees.

I know Sagarin has this pegged about where the line is ......still, I have to think it's less about this particular UK team and this particular Missouri team than its about UK's road troubles (recent and historic) and the noon kickoff. You know the stat about West Coast NFL teams coming east for a 1 pm kickoff? My guess is eastern time zone teams going west for a noon kick is also predictive......Just a guess though.

UK now a 7-point dog..ESPN's FPI has increased Mizzou's odds of winning to 75% and continue to drop the odds of us winning..will take nothing less than our A game to win this game on the road against a desperate Mizzou team

This game should be a pick em at worse. Nothing from on the field results shows that Missouri should be a favorite in this game. Especially since they just lost two of their best defensive players for the season last week. If UK maintains their same level of play of the past month it should be a win. In lasts weeks game the spread jumped up to 6 in favor of MSU I believe after opening around 3 so going by point spreads isn't always an accurate way to predict an outcome. Just by watching how both of these teams are trending it seems odd for the spread to be moving the direction it has.

I'm not gonna let the Las Vegas betting line put me in a panic. I can definitely envision UK losing if we don't take care of the football, but this is definitely a winnable game. The players and coaches know what's at stake, and if they take care of business like I believe they will, we'll be 5-3 this time tomorrow.

Line now at 6.5 at some places

That is a 3.5 pt swing in three days in favor of a team coming off a embarrassing home loss and losing two of their defensive starters.

I would say this doesn't look good for the Cats.
It probably doesn't matter. If the handicappers are universally recommending a Mizzou bet, so be it. Most of them are only right about 52% or so anyway.

Certainly has been strong Mizzou betting support. Would love to see UK win this one.
