Essentially, it will be the same team next year. Hopefully, they will improve and make a legitimate run at the East.

Think Barker will be a junior football-wise. Figure Stenburg/GAA to give serious challenges for PT. Off season workouts will be fierce.

The past
2013 Record:2-10
2014 Record: 5-7
2015 Record: 5-7

Current
Record 4-3 with possibility to be 6-6 with wins over Missouri and AP. Possibly 7-5 with wins over those two plus Georgia.

Future
2017-18 (7-5)
@ Southern Miss- Win. UK has matured a lot this year and should continue to do so.
EKU- Win
SC- Win- Year two of Muschamp's rebuild
FL- Lose- Its at home but FL seem's to still have our number
E Mich-W
Missouri- Win- Mizzu seems to be on a downward slop unless there is a coaching change.
@ Miss State-WIn- I'm hyped we won Saturday and think UK will continue their reign over MS St.
TN- Lose- Another at home lose.
@Vandy- Win
@ GA- Lose
UL- Lose

This year we have an awesome OL. They have really matured. The downside to next year is Toth will not be on the team. He is the reason our run game is so strong up the middle. Hopefully Drake or Stallings can step into that role and bolster the center position. We lose a few key ST such as Harmon, McWilson, and Mclain, these secondary players have made the majority of this years interceptions. Miggins will be another big lose on the DL. On offense Timmons, Kemp and Toth will all be gone. Hopefully the younger guys will step up.

Looking like defense will have to carry team in 2018.
I don't necessarily think that will be true.

WR Tavin Richardson JR/Holtzclaw
WR Kayuane Ross SR/Hughes
WR Javonte Richardson Soph (or RS Fr)/Thomas
WR Jabrari Greenwood (JR)/Ali
LT Landon Young
LG Stenberg (SR)
C Drake
RG GAA
RT Leavitt/Wolfe(dare I say Wills??)
QB Barker/Hoak/Davis/Williams?
RB Snell/Rose/King/Koback/+2018 signees

Our staff has finally built some quality depth. Need more depth on the OL for sure and I anticipate the 2018 class will have a bunch of OL.

UL loses 20 seniors this year.. No way they will beat UK at home next year... Don't just throw those loses out there because of their name.. UK is building a team that will compete with Florida and UT next year and beat UL and a good shot at beating Georgia...

Florida loses their defensive playmakers. They return a decent offense. But thats not what wins them games.

Maybe swap GAA and Leavitt. Looks as if GAA may stick at RT and I think Leavitt has already moved to OG. Also, don't forget the versatile Luke Fortner. He'll play somewhere, just not sure where as it could be OT, OG or C.

the O line we will have in 2017, and likely with the early entrance of Boom to the NFL meaning Benny Snell will be getting 20+ carries a game starting from the 1st series....mercy

I dont see how or why Boom would leave early honestly. I love the kid and he has done amazing things but would I want him on my NFL team compared to other backs I could have? No. An undersized back who cant catch, gets injured, and hasnt been lights out lately? No thanks. Boom will and should be back. RBs arent what most teams will be wanting in the draft and there are plenty of other RBs who will are a lot better fit for the NFL.

I read your post in the other thread proclaiming UofL and their 33 seniors....google is your friend, buddy. Not one single source comes anywhere near showing UofL with 33 seniors. In fact you would be lucky to find a single source that shows 20. Here are the REAL numbers

15 - Seniors
5 - RS Seniors

Jesus, man...it's not that hard to do a little research, you should try it sometime.

I was even nice and provided the roster for you.

How many 1st year starters?
All of them will have had 3-4 years worth of playing experience. Starting experience doesn't matter.

But that OL you will have 3 of them with starting experience at least. (GAA, Drake, and Young - Stenberg *may* start next year).

WRs we will be looking at 3-4 of those guys with plenty of experience going into 2018 (T Richardson, Ross, especially). I think Clevan Thomas will play in the slot some next year as a true Frosh.

RBs - nothing much to be said. Plenty of experience there.

QB - yes, starting experience is there as wel (Barker).

Veteran speedy Boom+Proven bigger Benny at RB behind likely one of the best Olines in memory.

Veterans Cj Conrad, Juice, Jeff Badet catching TDs

Veterans Jordan Jones, Alvonte Bell, Josh Allen, and Denzil Ware causing havoc up front defensively.

Westry and Baity knocking down passes.

SR Kicker

If we can get a consistant QB(or if SJ will stay consistant), we will be very dangerous.

A little bit. [laughing]

It's one thing to be off a little bit, but 13?! The internet isn't that hard to navigate.

Yeah, 20 is a lot, but 33 is damn near half a team. lol

I did my "research" in less than five minutes. That was navigating to the page, and counting. lol

I gotta admit, earlier this year I looked at next years schedule and felt sick to my stomach, looking at it now I see a lot of opportunities. I'll take FL at home and finally get the monkey off the back. I agree with everything else you predict.

Agreed, 20 is a lot. Just like the difference between 20 and 33. I am calm, just get annoyed when people don't site sources or do a little fact checking. Less than 5 minutes is all it took. SMH

As for UofL, a lot will depend on what happens to their star QB. IF he were to return, it would be more of what we have seen this year. If he goes, then they fall back to earth. I for one am scared to death the kid comes back for another year.

Is the QB a true soph? If so he'll be back, can't come out yet.

If Boom listens to people who care about his future and does not listen to those who see him as only a paycheck, he won't go pro next year. Braylon Heard is a perfect example.

Boom does not need to go pro.. He needs to add some muscle and stamina to play in the NFL... His conditioning is not ready for the contact.. I doubt that he could play all snaps in college, let alone in the NFL... He needs one more year to get his body ready for the hits.. He is a true JR this year.. I hope someone tells him this, before he's picked very low for his position... Those people in the NFL are not dummies.. If a team needs a scat back to play 1 or 2 snaps a series, then Boom would be the man.. Who would pay that kind of money for a back that isn't ready, body wise... Talent? No doubt Boom has the talent, if a team can wait for him to mature... Maybe so, but I would stay another year, and get picked higher... I know Snell will take some snaps, but Boom will get his numbers and in much better conditioning if he waits...

The math for a running back is different from any in sports really; if you're an 18 year old lefthander in baseball...you're not playing college baseball because you project higher than virtually any position in amateur baseball. If your a seven footer in basketball...you're coming out at first chance. If you are a running back in college, you're coming out; running backs have the shelf life of a garden variety egg. A year as a junior and senior and you're taking time off the clock.

With regard to Lamar...he'll have to be game planned for through next season at the college level. Some teams have found a way to bottle him up a little bit and he generally gets himself in trouble when he's impatient (it happened at Death Valley in the second quarter, and I think it happened against Duke as well). His passing game is very clearly growing, and I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the wide receiving corps losses as it applies to Louisville; Louisville will have had three consecutive recruiting classes with multiple four star receivers depending on who is doing the rating between Rivals, Scout or 247 sports (I think 247 is a little generous in how they rate) when they report in August next year (and that doesn't account for a two star guy like Jaylen Smith who is already a primary contributor). Wide receiver is never going to be an issue at Louisville as long as Petrino is there barring some weird rash of injuries.
