So proud of the Devils, great season guys, got a very tough one next week, just keep believing.
OK that's if they want PAC7 title...Nope... It was just announced that Brevard must return to Randolph County on Tuesday to play Trinity and Providence Grove in a double header....
Congrats to Brevard! Did anyone stop and get some good food in Thomasville?
If rams play the way they did tonight. Brevard has great chance to pull the upset
Maybe so...No. Brevard is not in the same league as Mountain Heritage. Reidsville will roll
Brevard was going full throttle when they smashed Franklin several weeks ago, handing the Panthers their worst loss of the season, and quite possibilly the worst loss ever to Brevard?....
The next game their QB went down with an injury against Smoky Mountain, and they lost that game, and had to play a backup QB for a game or two after that which didn't help against Pisgah in the season finale in another close loss for Brevard....Now that Johnson is back, and has a couple games under his belt, I believe that Brevard is much more explosive on offense, and their defense has been stellar all year long...The Owens and Ellenberger kids are both very good WRs, and Brevard has a stable of RBs....I think their OL was a little suspect at the beginning of the year, but they seemed to have come together toward the end of the season, and that has made Brevard a more complete and dangerous opponent...
Should be a another barn burner down in Trinity this friday between the Bluedevils and the Warriors!
Good luck to the Bluedevils in the 3rd round!
Wheatmore is a bigger better more physical version of Eastern Randolph and Randleman. Big bruising ground and pound with a smart elusive qb. Points and first downs will be hard to come by in this one. Two long road trips back to back weeks proves to be too much for Brevard. Wheatmores just going to line up and road grade their way down the field 3 yards at a time and a cloud of dust. Wheatmore takes this one 21-7.

You're judging that on the first game of the season when the Devils really didn't play hat well?Statements like this is why I question some peoples knowledge of football.
I have bragged on Brevard defense all year as being one of the best defenses we had faced. Much respect to your program but if you are saying the results of a Brevard and Mtn. Heritage match up would be different at the end of the season, you would be incorrect.
You stated it yourself that it was the first game of the year and Heritage was starting brand new linemen and skilled players all over the field including a 1st year varsity QB so our offense was definitely not what you would be up against now.
You can only play who is put in front of you in the playoffs and you guys have passed every test. But if you even for a second think that Mountain Heritage would not have easily went through that side of the bracket you have not watched enough football this year.
We will always be pulling for our fellow teams from the mountains but you will need to do some different things offensively as well to get the win this week. Reidsville is not going to be comparable to any opponent you have faced so far.
Best of luck this week and pulling for you guys to advance on to state.
Guys Rick is not saying the outcome would be any different. He was just stating that it was the first game of the season and that Brevard has gotten better, just like Heritage did over the course of the year. Any reasonable Brevard fan knows that it would be a tall order to take down Heritage. Sometimes the matchups work in your favor and sometimes they do not. As an alum and former player I am ecstatic for the season that these kids have had. That’s a credit to the players and the coaching staff. Everyone in the state knows what they are up against this coming Friday and not many people give them the slightest chance. But this Brevard team is playing with “house money” now and the strangest things can happen in the playoffs. Most people are expecting a blowout and it very well could happen. Win or lose it’s been a great season in Brevard and no one will argue that. Good luck to the Devils this Friday. I have feeling that there will be quite a few from Brevard that show up in Reidsville Friday Night cheering those kids on.
