Anyone go watch any of the 7 on 7 meetings this week ? I know Robbinsville took part in a couple. How’s your team looking? I know it’s a great gauge of things to come since we throw it 40-50 times a game !

Was 2014 the year that GAGE COX was injured?
Yes, he tore his knee up on the first play of Murphy's third game. Dogs starting fullback Byron Roberts hurt his knee the same game and missed most of the season, didn't come back until 2nd round of the playoffs. Cox was obviously done for the year.

They had to move Deion Johnson from wingback to runningback and call Kadrian McRae up from JV. Needless to say Cox's injury killed Murphy's chances of winning a title, the Roberts injury was icing.

I went to the Union County 7-on-7. Murphy and Robbinsville faced off right away and both looked a little out of synch. I think the score was even at the end. The Murphy young QB looked to make some questionable decisions. I don't know how he did after, I didn't really pay any attention. Hayesville and Andrews both looked terrible, which really surprised me. Those teams may be in for a long season since I thought their skill players would be their strength. They were no where in the league of our Knights and the Dogs. That game in Murphy at the end of the season is going to be something to see.

Basketball on Grass! 7on7s mean nothing no way to measure a team by their performance!

Robbinsville looked really good at the 7on7 at Union Co. Murphy will be fine once their young QB gets more experience. Agree with KK63 Hayesville and Andrews didn’t look great but Hayesville did get better as the day went along. Also noticed Hayesville didn’t play the tall receiver much. They went against Andrews at the end and looked much better than them. It will be interesting to see how things go as the season progresses. I think Hayesville will be much improved this year but are not on the level with Robbinsville or Murphy.
