I thought Mt Carmel is/was whatever...They don’t want the smoke with ESL. LWE has been a great story but we’re talking about the most successful program in the state of Illinois.

It’s ok to follow your heart. However we follow the charts. Looks like MC is a close second. You are quite correct.
Most successful by a long shot.
Thank you.
I think the thread is more about LWE against ESL than it is about Edwardsville. LolGents love the banter! However LWE by 21+ in this game. Been tuned into high school football in the LW area for last 10 years. I thought the 2012-2013 LWE team was on of beat I ever witnessed. Then came 2014 PC team. But now this LWE is the best I’ve seen in the state. The only way the lose is by self destruction. Keep up the friendly banter E-Ville folks but not this year.
OopsI think the thread is more about LWE against ESL than it is about Edwardsville. Lol
Wait till the responses from your LWE posse. Going to be worse than high school kids.
Corey90 crashes most threads with LWE greatness.
can’t imagine his response now when someone says their team will give LWE a game.
Who is McCourt?Maybe - Bobby Riggs beat McCourt at about the same age.
The same team that won only 3 of its 8 games so far against teams that finished with winning records?

To ESL in regards to most wins in program history.A close second to whom?
To ESL in regards to most wins in program history.
ESL Played LW Central I believe a Home and home but not aware that they have ever approached LWE. I don’t think it was ever mentioned. Edwardsville also played a home and Home non con with LWE (but at ISU ) two years in a row which were not competitive, both being a disaster for the Ville. The Ofallon game was decided by a field goal try that...well had some creative adventure to it. This game has nothing to do with any of those history lessons other than the missing jumbotron that will be absent in Frankfort.Eville is 1-1 against LWE in the playoffs. Also LWE came down to Ofallon and lost in the playoffs as well. Is southern guys know about LWE and we will never be afraid of ANY team from up North. Also LWE was played other southwestern conference teams in the regular season but for some reason have never played ESL. I am not sure why it hasn’t happen but I am sure ESL has asked a couple of times.

I agree it has nothing to do with the outcome Saturday however I am pointing out that the SWC has history with LWE.
On another note, Not that it’s important to the game but ESL has approached LWE every time they have posted an opening on the IHSA website. Again I am not sure why the game hasn’t happened considering ESL has offered to travel up as well.
Much respect. Great post.East St. Louis is well respected by Mt. Carmel. You're a class program and we are honored to be your host.
First, your school has a magnificent football history.
You have seven state championships, compared to our twelve. I'm more than willing to point out that you always play at high levels. There are several schools with an equal or greater number of state championships, but they play at high levels during the season, and use this experience to dominate small, less sophisticated programs during the playoffs.. You don't do that.
I know you have more individual wins than we do, but I would point to the difference in schedules. For 80 to 90 years, MC has played in the Chicago Catholic League, certainly the most demanding competition in the state, if not the country.
Prior to the IHSA staging state championships, we won the City Championship of Chicago nine times. Up through the 1960s, the Chicago Public League had numerous, outstanding programs. Beating them "for city" was very difficult. I don't know if anyone has information on who else did well, here, but I can't imagine that anyone comes close to us.
We'll see you on Saturday ... again, with great respect.
However, 1 correction. ESL has 8 state championships.East St. Louis is well respected by Mt. Carmel. You're a class program and we are honored to be your host.

You'll still get beat by 50 points.I heard CG and PR are forming co op next year so that they can compete with the big schools like LWE. JK
by 50 that's a joke right! Common opponent comparison....You'll still get beat by 50 points.
If you played this squads feeder team in the Super Bowl, you lost! They won six superbowls in a row. A couple of these toys have only lost five or six games in their entire life!by 50 that's a joke right! Common opponent comparison....You'll still get beat by 50 points.
LWE beat Naperville Central 38 to 19. CG also beat NC by a couple of touchdowns. CG alone would give them a run. I am not saying they'd win but it wouldn't be by 50. LWE is a good team they should be. I bet their feeder program is good too. I think we've played them for the super bowl a couple of times. Just saying. 50 points lol still laughing at that one.
Yes I was a little slow on the hot route there. That's why I liked your post after I am still laughing at the 50 point comment. literally.Yes it was a joke. Sorry! I have been having a little fun with the LWE crowd lately and meant no disrespect. I think CG is a very good team and has a real good shot to be state champs this year. LWE is the prohibitive favorite in 8a according to LWE folks so there may not be any teams worthy of getting on the same field as them much less competing.

Actually there are two youth football programs that feed almost exclusively into LWE plus a few from a couple of other local organizations. If you played this squads feeder team in the Super Bowl, you lost! They won six superbowls in a row. A couple of these toys have only lost five or six games in their entire life!
What are their numbers like? I assume good. Palatine’s numbers, for example, are low. Lots of kids playing LAX.Actually there are two youth football programs that feed almost exclusively into LWE plus a few from a couple of other local organizations.

LWE's reserves would beat CGYes it was a joke. Sorry! I have been having a little fun with the LWE crowd lately and meant no disrespect. (this is a joke, playing into this meme folks want to have fun with)
