technically. If this is the way youre looking at it. IF we beat UGA, then the Austin Peay game would be the likely historic game. If you want to be technical. Which is something that should be done if referencing history.

I'll be there with my dad. First game I've made it to this year...largely due to the fact I have a newborn son this year. Can't wait to take him to games a few seasons from now. Hopefully we'll be making bowls on a regular basis at that point.

Man, I'm 61 and I played on that '77 team and this is the first SEC winning record since then. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Wow. I'm 33 so when I think of 77 I think oh...I was born in 83 so it wasn that long before I was born. Then I see that you're 61...that it was 40 years ago and it really starts to put those decades in between into perspective.

That team was awesome!!!!! Had a friend of mine who was a walk-on on that team and he said Art Still was a monster!

It's a little bit of both. Consider that every team in the SEC has had a winning conference record within the past 5 seasons. We haven't had a winning conference record in 39 seasons.

I was living in Atlanta in 1977. 40,000 UK fans showed up for the Peach Bowl and the Atlanta locals were amazed. UK played Notre Dame the night before and UK fans took over one of the downtown hotels to watch on several big screens.

This is one of my best memories.

I was at that game. I stood on the sideline with the team during the second half. It was incredible! Go Cats!!

In 2002, Morris went 7-5 but not .500 in SEC play. I believe he was 3-4 in the SEC.
In 2001 he went 2-9 overall.
Everyone was high on him as head coach. He left because Mitch wouldn't pay him a million dollar contract until he proved himself long in that roll. That's when Baylor came in and swept him away.
I think we were paying around $600 thousand.

The 19077 team was my favorite and I agree that Art Still was a beast. I remember listening to the radio when Prince Charles walked onto the field at Georgia to shake hands with Art. I think Kentucky won that game 33-0.

Oh, for a repeat of that score Saturday night!

That 1977 team was something else... just look at the road games they won. They won at Penn State, at LSU, at Georgia, and at Florida. Wow. My parents went to the 1977 games at Penn St, LSU, and Georgia. They still talk about it. Great times. The future looked so bright.

Everyone used to talk about the UT streak, and of course the ridiculous Florida streak. But the non winning SEC record in almost 40 years is just abysmal, that is one streak that has to end, and we have two reasonable chances to do it this season.

Man I wish I could be there!
If you can go please realize you could be part of a very historic game and cheer your big blue butts off for the Cats!

UK is the only team in the East who has shown any improvement during the season, the rest, maybe other than UF have degressed some worse than others. UGA and UT seem to have come unglued, our OL play is worse than awful, practice dummies slow defenders down more, I don't know what's going on at UT but it appears to be a major trainwreck. I don't know if we can score, 10 tops and that would require some UK help with a turnover or special teams blunder.

Well, trust us, we'll be more than happy to help with turnovers and special teams blunders.

Any SEC AD who failed to have a break-even seasonal league record in football after 5 years needed to be shown the door. It was about time we began to raise the bar.
