Alleghany vs North Surry

If it rains that would be an absolute equalizer for Alleghany. That field has been in terrible shape in the past.
I knew Alleghany didn't have a chance of it being close rain or shine.

Might help them to be battle tested. I think after tonight things are wide open behind Starmount and probably Central.
It can. I think Alleghany has a good shot to beat Grayson and Walkertown. In conference I'd say they will beat West for sure and will have solid shots against East Wilkes, Elkin, and North.
It was more about NS playing well than Alleghany playing poorly. They just didn't match up well with North's quarterback and receivers. They're not going be playing against guys like that every week. NS coaches actually were favorably impressed with the Trojans.

Right now WC has a lot of things to fix. Still extremely talented in the skill positions and solid up front, but absolutely no depth. We were gassed at the end of the 1st half, had 2 touchdowns taken off the board in the 1st quarter. Could have been 21-0 at that point but that’s ball. After the 2nd touchdown off the board we couldn’t get back in a rhythm offensively. But, it was a really odd game from the get go. Lots of mouthing, NI has a kid ejected 1 minute into the game, it was a 10:30 kickoff. Was a typical 1st game from a execution standpoint, very sloppy. They will get better for sure and seeing AC and Watauga will help come conference time. MVAC race seems like it will be wide open this year.
No doubt. Always liked WC. They are way too talented year in and year out to not compete for conference.
I will agree, no reason year in and year out we shouldn’t be in the top 3 at least, but that’s why you play the games
Been wanting to know this since I first saw the name in the 90s...is it ALLEY-GAY-NE, ALLEY-GAN-NE, or AH-LEG-AH-NE? I've always heard it pronounced the first way, but following proper English pronunciation of the way it's spelled, it should be the third way. That's how I've always said it.
I'd say it's a mindset and attitude thing. That's a hard thing to change there.
