The games are very close and teams are choking down the stretch, that is what has everyone all jacked up.

Typically when a team like UNC or Baylor goes up by double digits on teams like Harvard and Georgia State, its lights out. Not this year. The little guys are taking punches and throwing a few haymakers of their own.

I think what made it "Madness" was the 14-3 seed upsets. Plus big comebacks as was stated and questionable goal tending which lead to victories.

It is a skill to hold a lead.....very few coaches have it in football or basketball.

Greg Popovich is a master of it.....He is not afraid to use his time outs. He isn't worried about having them at the end.

In a 16 point comeback, he would have called 3 time outs to stall momentum and to set up an offensive play. Most coaches will watch the lead drop away waiting for a TV timeout and then end the game with 2-3 time outs.

That's why basketball can be so frustrating, when your team has a big lead it's a very good chance they are going to give it right back.

That loss by LSU last night was just brutal, gave up a 17 point second half lead made had ZERO fg's in the last 10+ minutes. Tough way to go out.
