I think it had more to do with a poor evaluation of his shoulder by the doctors. I could be wrong though.

It wasn't like teams were lined up to sign him. Miami took Donte Culpepper instead - nice call there guys.

Editted to add: I don't think Breese would have been as good in Miami without Sean Payton.

The Falcons traded the picks used to draft Brees AND L.Tomlinson to San Diego for the #1 pick to use on Vick.

Yeah, Breesus has broken the record this year. But there's a reason he was as middling as he was in San Diego. Shoulder surgery isn't like Tommy John's in that it makes you a better QB. Brees is a VERY good QB with VERY(er) recievers and an even very(est) OC/HC. Yes he is making the throws, and you can't hold that against him, but the packages that he's throwing out of and the guys that he's throwing to have about as much to do with the record as Brees' passes this year.

By the way, this is the same guy who was pick city last year.

Peyton Manning, Cam Newton, Brett Favre, Joe Namath, Steve Young, Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, Dan Marino, and every other NFL QB to have ever played the game all agree with this statement... since... ya know... he just did something none of them could...**

I am pretty sure Jimmy Graham (this year) is the first pro-bowl pass catcher/running back he has had while in New Orleans.

...he was going to bring Tony Romo with him from Dallas. If that happened, I imagine that Brees would be out of the league while everyone would've been celebrating Romo last night.

the rehab does. It makes you perfect your throwing motion which in turn can make you throw harder. the surgery itself, contrary to popular belief, doesn'twork like Rookie of the Year.<div>
</div><div>James Andrews in Birmingham did my elbow a few years ago.</div><div>
</div><div>Side note: Actually met Drew Brees there in his physical therapyfacility.</div>

obviously Graham will make it. My point was that nobody has up until this season.

"coaches", "staff", "fans" etc. The kid KNOWS it's impossible to break that record without the best people around him, period.

Let's just say it's impossible without a great QB, and it's impossible without great players/coaches/personnel surrounding you in ALL facets, and leave it alone. Before you start to sound like a dick.
