Strategy? Sounds like the joke is on the announcers. Has Shula on Beamers hip like a sad puppy dog this half

I praised the announcers last night for calling it like they saw it. I think one of them actually used the phrase "poor coaching" to describe that series right before the half.

The other thing I noticed last night is they repeatedly displayed graphics showing us to be among the worst 5 or 10 teams in ALL OF FBS in every offensive category they displayed. Those collective stats - 8 games into the season - are prima facie evidence that Shula needed to go. We're not talking about worst-in-the-SEC statistics. We're not even talking about worst-in-P4 statistics. We're among the very worst of 136 teams in all of FBS! We're battling the likes of Charlotte, UTEP, Delaware, Middle Tennessee, Eastern Michigan, and Georgia State for the worst offense in America. Even if Beamer Fires Shula today, how can he justify letting it get to this point?

I’m holding out faint hope the ā€œstrategyā€ was for some reason waiting until our bye week to tell Shula to kick rocks. Not holding my breath

The bye week is the best time to shake things up mid season.

With all his years of experience (including growing up with Frank as his dad), you would think he had a higher HC acumen than what we're seeing.
Where would he have gotten that HC experience? We hired a horribly unqualified guy.

I think Delaware is FCS. Even worse.

By being around them since day one. You would think some of it would have rubbed off. Plus, he now has SEC head coach experience and not getting better.

My dad was HVAC and I spent a lot of years helping him. By the time I went to college, I was an HVAC repairman but decided white collar CPA was better than hot attics and fiberglass.

My point is.....this is baffling.

He could have taken a job at a smaller school and worked his way up. We rolled the dice....so did the taters.
If Shane wants to keep his job, he's going to have to dig deep and find better coaches to help him out.

Shouldn't the blame for the fiasco at the end of the 1st half roll up on the OC?

They are actually in Conference USA now. But they are 4-4, so I'm not sure we want anything to do with them. 🤣 I bet they could run virtually at will on SC State.
