An interesting observation I had, that I’m not aware has been reported anywhere. The Hattiesburg Regional was 100% anti-chalk. The worse seed won every single game. 4 over 1, 3 over 2, 2 over 1, 4 over 3, 3 over 2, 4 over 3, end of regional.

My AI investigation says that’s the only time that’s ever happened in the current era. And I can’t imagine it ever happening in the 6-team regional era. So I’m saying it’s a first of its kind.
