Any word on Jaylin Bradley?

Riley said Bradley would see time this year as a true freshman. No sight of him yet. I think by now we can figure out what happened to Ozigbo, but does anyone know if Bradley still plans on seeing the field this season?

Maybe someone in the media will finally ask Riley some obvious questions about Ozigbo at the press conference today...crossing fingers. Winking

Bryant clearly is the lead dog with good reason. Wilbon has looked pretty darned good in there and makes people miss. We needed that against Oregon's speed IMO. Beyond that our RBs didn't really get many touches after Bryant went down when we went to the air late. Who knows but it would seem like Devine is in the doghouse. He traveled so he would have played if need be so he's not suspended. The position coach makes the decisions so clearly Reggie thinks Wilbon is a better option right now. They got criticized for subbing so much and now they get criticized for not subbing....Personally I really like what Devine brings to the table but I'm not at practice and I don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

If Wilbon could finally find the ability to pass block, he could be a really dangerous back. Great vision, speed, cutting ability, but is just terrible in pass pro.

Then you have to leave the TE into block. Always going to be give and take
Depending on Tre's knee, Wilbon may become choice A. If we have to pick other pieces to engage in pass pro, that shortens the availability of the playbook a bit.

Kind of like I hypothesized last night. People wanted a clear depth chart and now they have one. Devine is 3rd and they're gonna ride a horse until it drops. Personally I like a fresh back now and then but I know they really like Bryant and even last year thought he was our all around best back. For me without knowing how they practice I like Devine over Wilbon but I like a guy that can knock somebody on their *** when he needs to.

Sounds to me like Ozigbo is fourth on the depth chart.

Yeah I guess that would be right now if Bradley is going to play. He was 3rd this last week . Who knows though Bradley may just play special teams.
Why would Bradley play this week on ST after not the first two games?

Could mean that, or it could also mean we had 1 back in Tre, and the other three backs don't have the confidence of the coaches like Tre did. It's audition time for the rest of the rotation.

Ankle injury. Or do you have a question behind the question?
No. Just that I wouldn't play the kid on ST if I didn't think he would get touches at RB during the season. But given that we're already one down at RB, I'd think he plays there this fall.

Another thread says that he's already played on ST??? I can't find a participation chart anywhere.

Jaylin is the real deal. Don't discredit Wilbon or OZ. JB is earning playing time. This is not given to him. If the coaches didnt think he was ready, they wouldnt play him.

I think the staff is pretty certain that Bryant isn't always going to be a go so they need to get Bradley ready. They like him a lot and maybe think he can pass Devine on the depth chart is my guess. IF he's in the 3 deep which he is when Bryant can't go he needs to be ready. You would hate to have to play him a bunch suddenly when he's had zero game experience.

The best thing about Bradley is his ability to wait for his blockers to open holes and his vision. He has the potential to be pretty damned good.
