where the dude is asking for money? I'm in on that. Sort of. I didn't give the dude any money, but it made me think, about a very good friend of mine, I've known for (this can't be right) 48 years. We used to Hoop it Up in Dallas. Great guy, smart guy even though he just has a GED. Fvcker introduced me to the Robb Report 20+ years ago, not because he had any expectation of buying chit from that mag, he just thought it interesting.
He has worked for years doing general labor type stuff. Most recently, he was doing the repair and maintenance for a dude, that owned a lot of real estate in Skiatook. This guy loved him, but unfortunately he passed away a few years ago and his family sold most of the properties. He still does odd jobs for the "old man's" relatives.
Back to the point of this post..give him money....lots of money....jk. He wouldn't take if offered. Anybody remember this movie? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Something_for_a_Lonely_Man He's kinda that way. He would qualify for all sorts of assistance, but has never taken any.
The problem he is having now, is that (apparently like me...****!!!!!) he is not a young man. He's been to a number of interviews for general/manual labor type jobs, but he never gets a call back. He's 59, but he is strong as an ox and healthy as yogurt (is that a thing?), and I think employers are afraid to hire him for stressful hard labor type jobs, because of his age.
So, if anybody has a need, or knows somebody that has a need, esp. in the skiatook area let me know. I want to say you can PM me because I've seen that before, but I'm not sure what that means. PM me, I'll figure it out. Or just post it here. He has no idea I'm doing this and might kick my *** if he knew....jk. But he would say DON'T.
