And you came to this conclusion how? Both games were 17-3 at half, both of these games included a defensive td in first half. Would scored a td although with 45 seconds left. Both games were eerily similiat, but that don't fit the agenda of a certain crowd. Kentucky also was a tipped ball from going up 10-0. "He gave Alabama more of a game at WKU than we did with a 12 million dollar buyouts worth of recruiting classes. If he had our raw, ridiculously still undeveloped talent down there in BG he'd be 5-1

guess if we beat that same "SEC competition" Vandy by 2 points or more Stoops should be coach for lifeYes. 2 of their losses are against SEC competition. One of those by 1 point in OT when Brohm went for the win.
Yes. 2 of their losses are against SEC competition. One of those by 1 point in OT when Brohm went for the win. For the people who act like it's some kind of argument that UK played Bama a tiny bit better than WKU, you have to take into consideration UK should have more talent than WKU.
There is also the possibility that Saban didn't run up the score on WKU because they were an inferior opponent. Maybe he did the same thing against UK....hmmmmmm
Yet he losses to a team in his conference with the same resources he has.He gave Alabama more of a game at WKU than we did with a 12 million dollar buyouts worth of recruiting classes. If he had our raw, ridiculously still undeveloped talent down there in BG he'd be 5-1

amazed at the brilliance displayed on here on a daily basis, it is truly astounding the sound football knowledge shared
Does UK have more talent? More experience? The thought that WKU has less talent is an assumption. Does UK have more talent than Houston? Does OU have more talent than Houston? Should it?
The argument was actually that WKU played Bama better than UK. You may be responding to the response to that claim.
Not questioning what you are saying, but interested in your take of what resources we lack in.Yet he losses to a team in his conference with the same resources he has.
I never understood this argument for those who hate the coach. It really is contradictive. News flash!!!! UK, even with the new improvements and upgrades, STILL doesn't have the resources as their competitors on a weekly basis. So this argument really hurts your agenda.
After Kentucky win, " I told be all week this would be a better game, and Kentucky was better than they were previewed as". And to end his press conference "all and all I thought this was a good win for us"
But that don't fit the agenda!
[laughing]Newflash....UK probbaly has already spoke to his agent and gauged interest as well as a few other coaches..

If UK ends up looking for a new head coach this offseason, it needs to pick a head coach with focus beyond one season of work.
This is a reminder for those who will overreact to whatever Neal Brown does this one season at Troy. IIRC, even Doug Martin (for UK QB and now New Mexico St hc) once had a 10+ win season at Kent State.
[laughing]
OK dude, think whatever you want if it make you feel good despite it not being based in any form of reality
the merits and flaws of this nonsense aside, something you just made up on the spot is not a news flash
You didn't go to the game then - UK gave Alabama a better game this year.He gave Alabama more of a game at WKU than we did with a 12 million dollar buyouts worth of recruiting classes. If he had our raw, ridiculously still undeveloped talent down there in BG he'd be 5-1
WKU is now 3-3.
Speaking of Taggart , I would give him a look too .I would rather have Neal Brown. I said this earlier and got shot down. Brohm didn't recruit the players he was excelling with - just check it out for yourself - his team was heavily Willie Taggart's players last year with a few from Petrino. Brown is doing it with HIS players -17 of the two deep playing at Troy were recruited by Neal. If we need to make a change we need to realize Neal's success at recruiting, motivation, game planning, etc. Neal has proven himself as an OC and his offense did extremely well here as well. It wasn't the offense that kept us out of a bowl here in the second year of Stoop's here. If the defense had come thru that year we go bowling - we did put 40 up on Louisville at Louisville while Petrino took his third string QB and beat us as the defense just didn't get it done. His offense also put up 31 against both Georgia and Mississippi State when State was ranked #1 - think about it!
Go Big Blue!

Their moral victory was better than ours I guess. He's waiting for the UL job. 0% chance he would ever come here.
4 years in and you don't have more talent that WKU? That's on the coaching staff at UK then and that isn't making a pro Stoops argument at this point. When Joker was fired, and Stoops lost to WKU the next year, people argued the problem was WKU had more talent. Now 4 years later, the question can still be asked if WKU has more talent than UK. That's sad.
