Comparing Houston to Western Kentucky is odd. Western wasn't even playing d-1 football program until 2009. Before that they were a 1-AA school. They were a good 1-AA school though. Houston was a member of the Southwest conference until it was broken up. Same conference as Arkansas, Texas, Texas a and m, etc. Last ten years Houston is 20th in wins. Texas is a hot bed for football talent. Had Art Briles, Kevin sumlin and currently have a good coach in Tom Herman.Houston thumped FSU in a bowl last year and manhandled OU this year. Houston of a non-P5 variety. Houston.
I do not know whether WKU has more or less talent than UK. Never claimed to know. But, I do know that your assumption that WKU should never have more talent is false and ridiculous.
Considering WKU didn't start playing D-1 football until 2009, Kentucky should have more talent then them, including since we are a SEC team and they are a conference USA team. That's not always the case as we have seen but Kentucky hasn't been a good program. Hope that changes from this point on.
