Anybody still want Jeff Brohm?

Coming into 2014, Dougherty was praised. Jeff was his freaking OC in 2013 and, I believe, QB coach under BP. How in the world does anyone hang a first year QB's transition year on the HC and not his OC and position coach? SMH
Like I said, he was criticized for throwing interceptions during the 2013 season. You said that you didn't remember him being "slammed" in that season. His improvement was very good in jeffs first two years. Having the continuity of having him around from coordinator to head coach definitely helped his development.

Slammed? He was in his first year in the system, as were all of the others. Jeff was there ALL three years. Wow. I like Brohm, but this is silly.

I didn't say I agreed with the criticism but it did happen unfortunately because of him throwing as many interceptions as touchdowns. Both Petrino and Jeff done a good job with him as a quarterback. What's silly about me giving Jeff credit for his quarterback throwing for 4800 yard and 5000 yard seasons? Very good accomplishments.

What is silly is attempting to distinguish between Jeff as HC with the QB and Jeff as OC with the QB.

Regardless of what you think is "silly", Doughty had good seasons for Jeff Brohm and his staff. They all deserve credit for that. Passing for number 11th and 18th best passing yard seasons is a very good accomplishment. He also threw for more touchdowns in a span of two years then any quarterback in NCAA history. So far Brohm is 23-9, 2-0 in bowl games. Pretty good so far. I hope he can sustain that success.

Did you see Andre Woodson as a junior and senior? His coach should be praised over the guy who had him as a sophomore!!

Lol you really amuse me Caveman. You make it more obvious every day why so many posters don't like you. I plainly stated that Petrino deserves credit for his work with Doughty as well. I can't help that stats prove that Jeff brohm and his staff did a terrific job with him and stats back that up over your opinion.

You really think that coaches get hired in a couple of days like it's reported on ESPN? That's not the way it works. With the situation at UK right now, even Barnhardt, is going to be calling these coaches' agents and sending out feelers in case a change has to be made. Don't believe "evaluate at the end of the year" nonsense that these AD's spew out.

AD's talk to these guys agents so the coach can deny they aren't going anywhere or haven't spoken to anyone. Look at the size of these contracts. That's not drawn up and negotiated and signed in 2 days, even 2 weeks. There's so much behind the scenes stuff with coaching hires it isn't even funny.

I don't know what goes into coaching hires. i'm not an AD and have never served on a search committee.
i didn't take issue with what you think you know about the process. you said specifically that Barnhart has been in contact with Brohm (and other unnamed coaches). you made that up.

after the ******** rumor, that a lot of people on here "confirmed" via text with their super connected "friend", about Stoops knocking up some unknown woman... i'm just not for making up whatever and calling it a news flash like it's a thing. you don't know for sure if Barnhart has been making the inquiries, let alone knowing specific names. so stop it. don't act like that's a fact because it's not. you don't know any more about it than any other rando that posts here.

Their moral victory was better than ours I guess. He's waiting for the UL job. 0% chance he would ever come here.
I disagree! He would take the UK job in a heartbeat if offered! An acquaintance of mine (whose a friend of his) said he was interested in the UK job when Joker was fired (and Stoops was hired) and, again, would still be interested in it if offered. By the way, that play at the end of the Vandy game was not smart! You know the old adage that "at home, you go for the tie and extend overtime and, on the road, you maybe go for the win"! I think that should have been the case then! What do you think? Besides, Petrino may be at Louisville another eight to ten years and Brohm will want to make a big boy move before that if he does!

I never said it as a fact. I said he probably has already contacted his agent and several other agents of coaches. The big time business of college athletics causes this process to be a slow dragged out process. I can't speak for UK but I know when EKU hired Danny Hope, that process started privately mid season in the last year of Roy Kidd. That's at a D1-AA school so I can assume UK will at least send out feelers the way the season started and how the backlash of the fan base started.
