Anyone want to talk bowl game?

Ha, in case anyone wants to try to forget about last night's game.<div>
</div><div>A couple of things that I'm interested in about the bowl game:</div><div>
</div><div>1. A lot has been made about our size advantage against WF. I think that they have been weak against the run, and that certainly plays into our advantage. However, it wouldn't be unlike Mullen to come out and open the field early in the game a little bit with some passing if they are loading the box</div><div>
</div><div>2. I'm slightly afraid of their QB and good WR that they have. I know our secondary is hard hitting and plays well, but this is a pass first team, and we know how we almost always allow the 7 to 8 yard reception if they want it. Hopefully our red zone D will be good, and I don't see them racking any significant rushing yards on us</div><div>
</div><div>Anyone actually watch these guys play during the year? I don't know much about their 3-4 scheme or offense.... just that they did have losses to Syracuse, Notre Dame, and Vandy along with a good win against FSU and a close game with Clemson</div>

1. Our lack of a pass rush worries me in regards to the wake passing game. We can cover the wr's for a bit but we cant cover them forever

2. Ralph should be able to run the option at them. If he orchestrates another uab first half performance we're in trouble but I wouldnt bet my money on it. I see us runnin wild and Ralph goin out with a bang

I also wouldn't be surprised to see some blitz packages with LB's and Safeties. I would also expect to see our dl shuffled up a bit, maybe see more Cox on the end in certain situations. We need to show up big for recruiting purposes.

Typically we play like horse **** against pass happy teams like this (Houston, Arkansas), but I just don't think Wake has nearly the fire power as those two. Plus, Wilson has really impressed me as this season has progressed and I think he will have us prepared defensively. He has also shown the ability to make halftime adjustments if needed.

As for the offense, Mullen showed last year that when he has time to do extra prep, we can come out looking good offensively.

Even if Wake comes out scoring and we have to match them for a little while, I feel like eventually our D will come up with a big turnover and the game will turn in our favor. I wouldn't be surprised if they scored 10-14 in the first half, but we lock them down in the second half and run away with it. 41-20 Dawgs
