Some USM girls dressed up like the Cosby kids. Now in hot water even though everybody admits there was no ill intent.<div>

</div><div>Also of note - any makeup at all that is meant to portray any black person is known as "blackface" (Michael Jackson costumes probably OK). Well, that's just a gross exaggeration of the truth. It is sad that political correctness has masked the distinction between racial mockery and a simple costume.</div><div>
</div><div>I think it speaks volumes that we live in an era when certain forms of racism (like blackface) are so antiquated that neither the "offender" nor the "offendee" understands that some kind of "offense" has beencommitted. Where's Al Sharpton? Hell even he probably missed the "offense" here.</div><div>
</div><div>For those that don't know:</div><div>
</div><div>This is blackface, which generations ago was a costume used to mock racial stereotypes of African Americans.</div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>And this is just 2 white people dressed up like black celebrities, Jay Z and Beyonce - which also caused some controversy in the eyes of...nobody other than some ****-stirrers:http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/Phoenix-Coyotes-forward-Raffi-Torres-criticized-for-blackface-costume-103111</div><div>

Good grief - some people just look for crap to complain about and honestly I wish the people at USM would have just said "nothing to see here" instead of doing the PC thing.

It's a freaking Halloween costume people.

I agree with you, I really don't see the problem as long as people don't dress up like the blackface picture that you have which a gross showing of racism. I mean Dwayne Wade dressed up as Justin Timberlake. Oh, just to clear things up I am a middle black male that grew up during the hard times of racism in Mississippi and know things have progress and not regress.

...who dressed up as a white guy in a SNL skit. The skit was poking fun against racism and it was hilarious.

Dave Chapelle and Eddie Murphy are both black. It's OK to make fun of white people. That's comedy. When white people dress like black people for any reason, it's racist because clearly the honkeys are getting a good chuckle right before they put on the white sheets and torch a black church. Get over it. There's a double standard and there always will be. If you're white, you'll always be a racist. Just ask the media.
