we are 13-2. I know looking back on it - the
Akron loss is unacceptable but if you told me before the season we
would have been 13-2 in preseason - I would have signed on the dotted
line.

Stansbury still is not the second coming of John Wooden but he has done everything we asked of him prior to the season.

1. We wanted a tougher schedule. We got it.
2. We wanted some quality OOC wins. We got it.
3. We wanted a top 20 team. We got it.
4. We wanted to get some national respect back. We got it.

Our next two games are big though. Utah State will be tough and @Ark is going to be brutal as well.

I just thought our talent would makeup for Stans lack of offensive coaching last night. It's disappointing, when you have the talent and don't have the coaching.
In Football we don't have the talent to beat the better teams in the BCS, but in Basketball we do this year, so the losses sting a little more than in football.
We failed to score a single point in the last 3:20 minutes of the game last night.....

I think we should be no worse than 9-7 in conference and no better than 13-3. Most likely somewhere in between. If I had to guess, I'd go 11-5. That would put us at 24-7. I'm thinking that would have us at around a 4/5 seed. I know it varies by who our wins/losses are against... Plus SEC Tourney performance could be a difference of 2/3 seeds.

What a lot of people don't realize is that in his first 17 seasons as a head coach, John Wooden only won 1 NCAA tournament game. Granted, you had to win your conference to even get in the tournament back then, butit is just amazing to me how he went from no success in the tournament to completely dominating it overnight.

//Relax, Coach. I'm not seriously comparing Stans to John Wooden.

Wooden had Sam Gilbert playing the role of World Wide Wes. He definitely had some advantages in "recruiting" that other coaches didn't have.
