As I mentioned all week, this game meant nothing especially if we came out healthy.
It was good for the sunshiners, as we came out with a lot of energy and didnt play like pansies.
Offense was dismal and I'm not convinced Bama didnt play games with us concerning their play calling.
Running on 3rd on 9 and going for it on 4th and 7 in field goal range...
They seemed to use us to get extra work for their freshman QB.
The defense was stout compared to the utter failure in the first 3 games.
Progress?
Who knows? Nobody. Not the Stoops haters and not the merry band of "we only gave up 480 yard" optimists.
Judging this team's progression begins this week.
We don't beat Vandy, we will have to beat UT, UGA, or UL to be bowl eligible. Very doubtful.
In fact those are the only 3 games that any type of moral victory can be obtained.
We must beat Vandy, MSU, Missouri, and Austin Peay.
Win 2 of the these 3 SEC games with a close loss in the other and play the Dawgs and UT tough, an argument can be made for Stoops that we are at least improving from the poor start.
Get stomped by UT and Georgia and lose any game to the the 4 winnables and it's time to move on...
