Made a GREAT decision to go down after the catch. So many kids try to score or advance the ball and the clock runs out. Absolutely a great decision. Either a smart kid, good coaching or a combination of both.

The last play was smart to go down. The play before was crazy as it wasted at least 5 seconds because the receiver did not go down as he was stood up. The clock was stopped with 9 seconds to go. His last play was 18 yards with 3 seconds left.

Badet will be a tough one to replace after this year. Really good receiver with elite speed.

Thing is, he wasted time going down. Just stop standing up & call TO. Don't have to be down. TO can be called by O anytime anywhere.

Should be warned for this kind of stupidity. His fall gained the few yards we needed anyway. That FG was only 2-3 yards long enough.

And if they are holding You up as they were doing it's hard to fall down. They were milking clock by holding them up. Next time Johnson is flgetting sacked we need to just call the timeout and prevent the sack mid play!

State was forcing the officials to blow it dead and Took an extra second or two if he would
Of went down

He is a RS junior, he could be back next season !!
He should be back. He's an excellent player but I don't see him leaving early. He'll have a chance to get drafted, but he needs to play as many college games as he can to prove himself. Blazing speed and good hands, but he's undersized for NFL scouts.

The defense put him down. He was trying to stay up and fight for yards. Thank goodness there was enough time left. I feel sure he was instructed to go down during the timeout

Best thing I heard all night was, "Badet did exactly what we practice each week. He knew to get down as soon as he caught the ball."

That's the difference in a good offensive coordinator and a mediocre one. You have to coach every aspect of the game. I'm positive we have a great one in Gran. What he has done with this team since Barker went down has blown me away. He knows how to win with whatever personnel he has available. Can't say enough good things about the job Gran has done this year.

No one guy had both legs wrapped up, second guy was holding him up under arms. It's why the fans were booing was for a whistle at the tkme. His forward process was stopped and they were running seconds off clock on defense. Smart defense btw

My initial thought was "did he get close enough?" i worried about McGinnis's leg strength after battling injury all last year. Did he have enough to get it there.

My thought after the kick went through: Jeff Badet is the smartest man in the GD building.

Not trying to be mean, just curious if you actually think you can just stop in the middle of a play and call TO?

Who knew a tennis ball to the face could be a real blessing in disguise for both him and the program. He needed a RS to mature and develop.

Page 55, timeouts can only be called during a dead ball situation.

"ARTICLE 4. When timeouts are not exhausted, an official shall allow a charged team timeout when requested by any player or head coach when the ball is dead."

I said the same thing to my dad when watching the game. Very intelligent decision to go down immediately

As soon as he caught it I was yelling for him to just hit the ground and call time out. Great job by him and the staff for being prepared for this situation.
