And taking Sellers and Stewart with himWas just reported on evening news.
I don’t really think it matters who we bring in. If you look over our history, while we have never had any sustained success, we have also never really had any prolonged periods of terrible seasons. We are for the most part mediocre with blips to really good seasons or really bad seasons.I might be in the minority but I really dont see us getting a better coach than what we have. We could improve our offense coach but not sure about the others.
I don't think so either. The only thing that could change his mind would be if he were to fall out of favor with the big money folks and he began to feel unwelcome. I just don't see that happening.Beamer is not going anywhere. Mark it down.
Yeah? Well, that's just like your opinion man.....Beamer is not going anywhere. Mark it down.
Of course it is. That is what this board is for. Did I give a different impression?Yeah? Well, that's just like your opinion man.....

Beamer isn't going anywhere. The one thing he has to fix is getting better coordinators. He's probably one of the better portal recruiting coaches out there. Does work hard but got to get guys better especially on the offensive side to coach.
We'll keep those guys. Take Shula. And taking Sellers and Stewart with him![]()
VT fans see the name Beamer and an experienced SEC HC with some success. No one else is going to try to hire Shane Beamer to be their HC.
Yep, why Dabo would never leave for the Bama job.The only reason Beamer might leave for VT is because it is much easier to win there. His current recruiting class is number 8 in the SEC. In the ACC, it would be ranked 4th. And unlike in this state where he has to compete with national Brand Clemson for the top players in the palmetto state, he would compete with Virginia for the best in that state. That is a huge difference. At SC, he is practically bordering national programs UGA, UT and Florida. Truthfully, the job at SC is way more difficult than the one at VT. Yeah, well you know, that's just like my opinion, man.
Maybe he realizes the hill is too steep here and would use this as an easy offramp as opposed to eventually getting canned. He could very easily explain going back to where his father was a legendary coach without looking like admitting defeat here.Beamer will entertain the interest I'm sure. Things aren't getting easier in the SEC.
Plus now he's rich!Maybe he realizes the hill is too steep here and would use this as an easy offramp as opposed to eventually getting canned. He could very easily explain going back to where his father was a legendary coach without looking like admitting defeat here.
But I don’t think he’s going anywhere.
Yeah I don't think VT would pony up more than what we're paying.Maybe he realizes the hill is too steep here and would use this as an easy offramp as opposed to eventually getting canned. But I don’t think he’s going anywhere.
This is being stoked by his agent. Personally, if he left I wouldn't care. But he's not leaving, and from what I can see Donati isn't a moron like the last guy. There definitely will not be a bidding war.Beamer will entertain the interest I'm sure. Things aren't getting easier in the SEC.
tufittyI wouldn't get in a bidding war for him.

Answering that serious question would only be met with derision. So aside from the surname, what exactly has SB done to distinguish himself as a front runner for the VaTech job.
Serious question.
If he left before January 2026, he would owe $5 million. What would VT (or Beamer) have to pay us if he left?
Anyone know?

Serious question… do we really still consider Florida to be a national brand? When’s the last time they were truly relevant in the SEC conversation? 2020 under Mullen when they backed their way into the SECCG? They haven’t been part of the championship conversation in the playoff era, that’s for sure. The only reason Beamer might leave for VT is because it is much easier to win there. What had Dabo done?
Eye of the beholder.
Nothing. But he's a likable guy. In certain quarters of our country these days, feelings trump everything. So aside from the surname, what exactly has SB done to distinguish himself as a front runner for the VaTech job.
Serious question.
In less than 5 years, Dabo checked his ego and hired coordinators who knew much more than him.Answering that serious question would only be met with derision.
What had Dabo done?
