Is that a first in UK history?
Snell passed Cobb for most TDs by a UK Fr.
Scary thing is Snell still has 5 or 6 more games!
By the time that Snell is through here, and it will probably be after his junior year, he will go down as our of best running backs in our history.

We haven't had a 1000 yard rusher since I believe Rafael Little. (Or was it Locke) either way, it's been a while. This year we could have 2. Boom only needs 179 more, Benny needs about 339. So both have very realistic shots.

I just verified that it's never happened.

According to the current media guide, there were only 12 times in UK history prior to this year that RBs had ever put up 180+ in a game.

Make it 13 with Boom going for 182 against New Mexico State earlier this year.

And none of the previous 13 were by two guys on the same day. Not even close.

You are right. Last year and player we had to get over a 1000 yards in a year was Little. 2007. If boom comes back next season he'll most likely become the all time leading rusher.

UK had two 180-yard rushers today. 1st time UK has had 2 players over 180 yard rushing in a game & 2nd time in 20 years it’s happened in SEC

With 5 games left, realistically speaking, Boom is all but guaranteed 1000+ and Benny will only need 68ish per game to make it as well. That would be outstanding. UK's best backfield ever and both could be back there again next year. If Boom comes back, next year is getting really interesting.

I think Boom will be back. He has a lot of problems with injury, and getting hurt in the games. Pro's hitting you is a lot different then college players. It's nice to have the "Sheep Skin" just in case you don't make it.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

Plus QB depth.

Would be a good time to start pitching the run game and oline on the recruiting trail to top backs. UK football is building a strong run oriented team.

Really have all the makings for one of the better ground attacks and running duos in the conference if not country if things keep trending the way they are.

Agreed. I feel Boom would get injured very quickly in the NFL. He just isn't that durable.

It's not a knock on him...It's just reality. He may not be able to play in the NFL because of being injury prone. The SEC is brutal. The NFL is even more brutal.

Saying that, when/if he comes back next season, is it the best running offense in UK history next season?

I can't think of a better prognosis for an offense next season than our returning O-Line, Benny and Boom.

We could put a beating on most of the SEC East.

With the exception of Toth, the OL will be back
