When you're not into the Groupthink, twitter gets vile quickly.
I have no idea what you are even referring to. Grouptink about what? Twitter spans the spectrum of basically any topic.
I use Twitter for specific info:
1. Diet (keto, protein leveraging, etc)
2. Excercise
3. Health span and longevity- Drs. Peter Attia, Andrew Huberman, etc.
4. Lipidology/cholesterol info
5. Mets
6. Rutgers Athletics.

I set my follows to people who tweet on those topics, mute political and other stuff. I have obtained more useful information on the topics above from Twitter than anywhere else on the internet.

Like anywhere else, e.g., these forums and certain posters, if you are looking for trouble and/or unhappiness, you will find it. Same thing here- stay off the CE Board, have a long ignore list, and avoid certain threads/topics. This place is great most of the time too.

Twitter is great, you can block/mute things you don’t care about. If you use it like Facebook (only for Political things) it will make you miserable. If you use it for sports news and other topics that are fun, you’ll know everything happening before most others in the world and around your circle

I thought about it 11-12 years ago. Then I saw what happened on Twitter after the Boston Marathon Bombing. Not just the politics but the inaccurate information and said no way.
