With the number of shots they throw up it is irrelevant whether they shoot better in a certain time frame. A stretch of 30% doesn't mean squat if they shoot 70% 5 minutes later while throwing up 25 shots and 12 are 3's. Recognize they have 12 shooters and 11 have experience. Not all of them will have a bad night and any of them can lay the wood on any given evening.
What about when they’re not getting multiple offensive rebounds like they won’t Saturday? Tennessee is big and their coach experienced enough to know how to slow the game down. I’m not getting caught up in all this hype after beating some of the worst teams I’ve seen. Beat Tennessee and I’m sold.
For me, its not even about winning, can we go toe to toe with a program that has lived in the top 15 the last few years. If the answer is yes, then we are back on track. If all this leads to a Tenn win by 15+ then we are still a ways off, at least RIGHT NOW. This game means a lot to gauge how far we have truly come since June!

It is the first big test of the Pat Kelsey era. Even though it is very early in the season, how they do against a top 15 ranked team is important. We need to see if CPK's game planning, scouting, coaching, adjustments etc. are up to snuff to beat good, ranked teams or if its not all there yet. It'll also be interesting to see how our players react and play. Who will step up? Who will have a big game?

Kenny Payne is gone man, let's lose all the negative vibes. This team is going to go tooth and nail with every team they play. We're probably not going to win them all but some teams are just flat out going to be better than us.. The only concern I have at all is free throw shooting.
Cards win this game by 6 - 10 points and the YUM will be lit !!

Told Ya! I’ll eat crow when I’m wrong like the Clemson game but I’ll dam well rub it in when I’m right. We were led to believe we were great. I’m still on the Kelsey bandwagon, even though I thought it was a risky hire, but he had a good postgame presser, let’s see if he can deliver it.
I'm right here. We got out played by a better team. Their defense was on another level and they made a lot of contested 3 pointers. It happens. If I could predict the winner of every game I wouldn't be working, I'd be sitting on a yacht in Marina del Rey counting my winnings.
