I will be surprised if UT beats Cal. Best Cal offense since Rodgers was QB a looong time ago. Maybe better receivers. Goff has pro written all over him. And horrible D from last year looks much improved. Horns will need as many turnovers to win as they got against Rice. Hard to see that happening 2 weeks in a row.

I am going to have to amend the Arkansas - Texas Tech score. Arkansas lost their #1 receiver. I will pick Texas Tech based on this latest news.

Texas Tech 48 Arkansas 36

The UT - Cal score does remain as close to a pick 'em as could be in my book. I am believing the shorthorns pull off a W on the home DKR turf... but not by a large margin of victory. It could come down to a FG...and it seems as though this game could go to OT.

Shorthorns 23 Cal 21

Do you know a bookie?
If you don't, that's a shame really.
I mean you study it up, use your deductive reasoning. Reminds me of 1969, 1970 when I and the crew would study the handicap sheets, and come up with our consensus top three college games of the week to wager.

We were kicking 82% correct for the season. Just won gobs of off the books cash.
Our best weekend was when I won 1050 bucks. Doesn't sound like that much now but, in 2015 bucks it would be around 10 grand.
You know the coolest thing about 'found' money?
Going to Pizza Hut and tipping some poor ole young mother of three 20 bucks on a 8 buck order.
It's just the best feeling ever!

While I agree with most, I believe the horns will get reamed dry by bear cock.

And the whorns won't be able to out-talent Cal on multiple big plays the way they did the pathetic Owls.

From 2012 through 2015, Rice landed 19 three-stars, zero four-stars and zero five-stars.

In that same time, Cal recruited 55 three-stars and 18 four-stars.

If they play like they did against Rice -- the least talented team on their schedule -- our little pals from Austin might not win another game this year. Even KU and ISU have a lot more talent than the Owls, who aren't even one deep in three-stars on O and D, much less special teams.

I think Cal will win.
Several of the others could go either way as well.
Aside from not being a gambler on principle, I would not want to bet money on what 18-22 year olds will do on a football field when they can be so distracted by what a pretty coed looks like on the sidelines.
Most importantly, OU will come out and hopefully play to their potential against Tulsa.

Most older men watcing in the stands can be distracted by pretty coeds. Besides seeing my favorite team play, it's why I attend games.

Cal blew out Grambling and handled SD State....not exactly domineering teams. So I will keep my UT pick in place. Had this been on the road at Cal;, then I may be thinking the other way. Plus UT just canned their AD, which may bring an air of better feeling of change to the land down under.

No bookies or money involved Fitty, this is just my instinct, intuition, and thoughts on Big 12 Teams. I wish I could make money doing this...but that will not happen.

Oh, I understand.
Back then, when I referred to was a different era.

It was before gambling, drinking and other assorted vices got such a bad reputation.
