Truthfully, if we can win in Athens, these results today appear mostly good for our prospects in Omaha.
The upsets make the whole thing wide open, but, the opposite bracket from us is a total clown show.
On that side, CWS will be:
- Troy or Little Rock
- UNC or USC
- Cal Poly or West Virginia
- Ole Miss or Auburn
Basically you have two SEC teams who we are a combined 5-2 against, 3 midmajor randos, a Big 12 school that struggled with Kentucky, and USC / UNC. At least 2 out of 4 between the mid-majors and West Virginia will be in Omaha.
UNC is the only team that is remotely worrisome on that side.
