I find it hypocritical that Bo Bounds rips the NCAA for staying at the Ritz Carlton during a meeting, yet he boast about staying at Turquoise Place and living the lifestyle. I kind of think of these as business perks. Just my thoughts. Maybe Bo should do his next show from the Motel 6 in Grand Isle, Louisiana. Trying selling the wife on going on that business trip.

Non Profit vs For Profit.

It is as simple as that. Also, the NCAA says "How dare you sell your jersey!" and someone gets punished. They are just pissed that they didn't get a cut of the sale.

But I have no problem with the NCAA having their meeting at a nice hotel and enjoying good food.

And deserve to "Live the Lifestyle". Because it's a non-profit, should they stay in a motel 6 and eat Wendy's during their meetings.

You don't run around telling student athletes they can't sell there jersey for 200 bucks and then turn around and use the money they brought in to stay at the Ritz Carlton. Obviously, this topic is subjective.I do think that you will find the majority will agree with Bo.

i stayed at the ritz for a meeting a couple of weeks ago and paid $179 a nite for a very nice, large king room. i've just returned from a market trip in podunk NC where i paid $199 for a tolerable king room in a holiday inn express. if bo knew anything about travel he would know the ritz ain't no big deal. its a really nice property but can be bought very reasonably. it all depends on supply and demand.

I'd also be interested in what kind of meeting facilities were available at the RC. It's a whole lot cheaper to have conferences in one location than it is to book a mid-rate hotel and then book a conference area. As much as I dislike the NCAA for a number of reasons which would take a few thousand words this is a faux outrage.
