Funny. I don't see anyone from ESPN as part of the committee. Maybe the committee chairman from NC State/ACC just doesn't like FSU 🙄
That, and $$$
ACC doing FSU no favors ever, but especially after February's BOT meeting
Lot going on behind the scenes now w/PE $ being raised to get TF out of that joke dumpster fire conference

and it's on

a group of money donors have signed on to a letter urging the school not to go to the bowl stating they'd cover the cost of the loss to the school.

nole nation is rabid!!!!!
Looks like a lot going on behind the scenes re. PE money being raised to get out
Also looking like B1G will be the landing spot

I'm good buddies with a big baseball guy who went there (family is loaded and donates). Have other connections as well. Actually taking my son there next year for one of his visits

Yep you def called B1G, on the outset SEC is the easy choice, but when you really dig deep and look into things, B1G makes the most sense by far for a variety of different reasons (money, culture, goals of university, SEC bias, separating from UF, all around sports meaning not just FB, FB competition, etc.)

Re. your son, take him down for a FB weekend next year if possible. Clemson will be nuts

How did your buddy feel about the hiring of Meat when 11 retired? And the subsequent firing of Meat for Link?

thought about that but might have to be earlier as I'm buying a place in Fl as well. I think you're right though, during football would be best

I'll ask but family relations always tough on a school and especially following a legend.

Football season always best, sometimes they have fall ball games on FB weekends as well. Saw them blast Mercer in a 2x header for the Duke weekend

Definitely always tough replacing a legend.

Also if you could, please ask about his thoughts on redoing Howser vs. building new on IM lots, thereby connecting the baseball to College Town. It doesn't matter now b/c the money's not there, but I know that's a point of debate amongst the powers that be, as softball would likely go where Howser is now, or another future FB related building. At the very least, it opens up land which is at a premium on campus

So two days removed from the playoffs announcement and it seems Booger wasn't "pulled off" the show. More and more it's seems a typical stunt by ESPN. As with every ESPN show things are staged and someone has to yell and there has to be an argument.
Current bidding looks like ESPN will not control the TV rights. The plan is that the semis and finals will rotate from year to year to different networks similar to the Super Bowl.

Booger and team should be up for actor Emmy nominations if the on screen vitriol was staged. I think that Booger was legitimately upset with the selection committee. We've seen on air personalities go at each other before, but this time the anger seemed very real.

I thought it was real, not that they’re angry or anything but that they just feel strongly about their position. Same for Orlovsky, same for RG3 etc…

Guys like Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith or Mad Dog are manufactured drama.

Manufactured drama is a kind term for Bayless, Mad Dog, and Stephen A. Smith. A better term would be idiotic hot take ********.
