Alright guys, let’s figure this out. If we win, we’ll be 8th in the conference pecking order. Let’s suppose Bama, UT, LSU all win tomorrow. Also SC loses to Clemson

GA, LSU, UT, Bama—-all go to playoffs/NY6
MSU—Citrus
Ole Miss—-Tampa bowl
SC—Gator (Jacksonville)
KY—-wouldn’t Music City be the obvious choice? Except for the UK/UL basketball game conflict...what do y’all think?

Certainly a far cry from what some prognosticators had predicted for UK this season.

As terrible as UofL is in basketball I don't think that would preclude us getting MCB invite this year like it would in seasons past.

Personally I just care about an interesting matchup. Which bowl it is doesn't matter to me since we aren't getting one of the prestigious bowls this year.

Could be either the Gator or Music City Bowl.

Have always enjoyed the MCB. Not a bowl snob.

There was a time we begged to get to Nashville.

Stay humble my friends.
That was before we dropped Indiana and added an extra game with another cupcake. P-5 schools pretty much start the season 3-0 now. We went to a bowl five out of the seven years prior to Stoops. Music City Bowl is a sign of a disappointing season.

Praying for the Gasparilla on December 23rd. It’s on a Friday, and also in Tampa. Is that a possibility? Please Lord. Get me out of extended family Christmas.

Gotta win tomorrow. Right now looks like 2 teams going different directions and Cats are wrong way.
Likely looking at a Tennessee bowl...either Nashville or Memphis.
Lose and it's likely Birmingham.

I think a win tomorrow will send UK to Texas Bowl. People may not realize it but it a higher paying bowl. We would play a Big 12 team - which should be a plus - and Houston is as close as many Florida bowls - plus game is in a climate controlled facility. Game is December 28th this year. Kentucky plays Missouri in Basketball that night in Lexington - but don't think that would be a huge factor in reality. UK Basketball game would be over before the football game is played that night. Driving time to Houston is about the same as drive time to Miami, Florida - only 3 hours further than Tampa! You can drive it easily leaving as late as December 27th.

Go Big Blue!

Who cares about a December 28th basketball game. I assume, a basketball game had no relevance. I'd rather watch 2 NAIA football teams than a regular season college basketball game.

My guess-

MCB vs Wis or Illinois
Liberty vs Baylor

Don’t think we will go to Texas that’s probably going to be Miss St or Ole Miss.

There are a few projections going around with UK in the Gator vs ND but that seems pretty unlikely.

Games broke Kentucky's way yesterday, leaving Arkansas, Missouri and Florida at 6-6.

Assuming we win today (big assumption there), and UT beats Vanderbilt (highly likely, but not as sure a thing as it looked two weeks ago) then Kentucky is in a pretty good spot bowl wise.

We would be 7-5 and be the 8th ranked SEC team. Have to believe with a win, UT gets a NY6 invite along with Alabama, Georgia and LSU (assuming no big upsets today, like Auburn or A&M winning)

That leaves the three Florida bowls to pick between Ole Miss, Miss State and S Carolina. No way USC doesn't go to one of the Florida bowls, so I suppose it is possible that for some reason, Ole Miss and Miss State would rather play in the Texas Bowl, instead of a trip back to Tampa, both of them have played there recently (MSU in 2018 and Ole Miss in 2020, and FWIW, S Car was there in 2017). So . . . there is still an outside chance with a 7-5 record, we could still land in Tampa.

The above assumes a lot of "Ifs" and IMO, even with a win, it is far more likely that UK would then get their choice of Memphis, Houston, Vegas or Nashville. After we pick a spot, then Mizzou, UF and Arky go to the other three.

Texas Bowl vs Ok State or Texas Tech

Or

Music City vs Illinois or Minnesota
