Cummings and graham have no chance lol they may get 1 win. When they play each other.
Their Middle School always have size and good skill players. Something usually goes wrong after the transition to High School.Bartlett Yancey on the upswing. I saw their middle school team (Dillard) on Monday and they've got several good skill players with size.
Did I just see that BY got shut out by Cummings?
Daggum it... That means BY isn’t good. Not good at all.
Shoot. I was really hoping that they’d go into that last game undefeated.
Don't forget that Cummings reached the second round of the playoffs last season with a young team. The Cavs played a tough schedule until the Bartlett Yancey game. Opponents, not counting Bartlett Yancey, are now a combined 39-8.
Leesville Road and Eastern Alamance are both 7-0.
Yeah ... the fact that Bartlett Yancey beat NC Prep doesn't fit into my equation.I thought the cavs should have beaten winston salem prep though
Prep has a couple of really good players. One I understand is being heavily recruited by some big time schools.I remember Cummings beat St Pauls. I was shocked by that after comparing the two last year. Then Cummings showed up at North Davidson and it was 35-0 after the first half.
I looked at Cummings’ schedule this year, and you are absolutely correct, they played a tough non-conference schedule. But, if you lose to W-S Prep, you likely have no business in the playoffs, even with a second place finish in the conference.
St. Pauls either crapped the bed that night last year, or they weren’t any good either.
But again, 2AA East was just that weak last year.

Not defending this school, but football at Prep is not basketball. And I certainly don’t want to have this thread turn into a 1 A board bashing WS Prep. And not implying you were bashing.Oh, I have no doubt... It’s Winston-Salem Prep. Best group of athletes of any 200 student school. Wonder how that happens?

BY deserves all the publicity they can get!
More than likely 2aa east will be weak this year. You can even say weaker. Last year a lot thought North would make it interesting vs Shelby, not sure 2aa east has anyone that you can even imagine doing that.
Having said that, Cummings has a chance to go to the 2nd round again.
St pauls is usually overrated though, they used to come to reidsville a few times with a good record and get blown out.
No it's not!The conference is not what it used to be!
I despise this conference.................
