Dear Colonel,

I hope this letter finds you well. I find it interesting that you’re so sure it was a goaltend. You point out that the replay big ten kept showing, camera angle made it appear it was not goaltend. While omitting the other camera angles same effect. The other angle is to the side and behind Hyatt making it look like the ball was over the cylinder.

The ref actually had a Rutgers favorable angle as he was to the side and behind then hoop.

Reminds me of Japan/Spain World Cup. Lol
Glad another RU fan can admit the obvious and not just be a homer! But hey, about time, right, lol? RU needed that break.

Bout with .1 second left Paul made contact with the shooter under the basket, would a foul there have shocked anyone?

I am as big a Rutgers fan as anyone, but we got some favorable calls on the road in Madison with two teams badly needing a W. I was surprised to see it. I and everyone else watching in real time at the game thought it was offensive interference. Officials easily could have called it as such. Lucky break. I will take it though. We got hosed in Ohio.
Agree with most of this
We seemed to get more favorable calls as the road team than usual
The goaltending non call could easily gone the home teams way and we then probably lose
Afterwards We had the benefit of seeing it in slow motion, live it was very close

Hepburn flopped. As soon as Cliff made contact with him, he fell over and started to grab at Cliff's shorts. It was the right call. UW has been called out for flopping more than any B1G team.
Good thing we won....or this season could have been a FLOP!

Wrong it was not a goaltend--the replays confirmed. And while we got a couple calls, the 4-5 non-calls on Wisky players elbowing and throwing their shoulders into us on drives were ridiculous. Speaking of shoulders, how did the Wisky big that slammed into Paul causing his shoulder injury not get called? Bad take by OP

Because the defender didn't move and Paul plowed into him.

We win (commit more fouls) - our fans complain
We win (commit fewer fouls) - our fans complain
We lose (more) - our fans complain
We lose (fewer) - our fans complain

The idea that this game was the balance out game for us is ridiculous. That’s the point.

I didnt say any such thing, just answering the posters question. You like to put words in peoples mouths dont you.
You like to complain no matter the circumstances. If we win, we won because the refs helped us, if we lose we lost because Pike cannot recruit. Just be lucky we have one of the best if not the BEST coaches in the conference locked up for the foreseeable future

Overall, the refs were consistently inconsistent. However, they had the balls to call offensive fouls against Wisconsin and make some other calls for RU (such as non-goaltending -the RIGHT CALL) that other refs would not have made. They still had me shaking my head on a number of occasions, but other homer refs would have screwed us.

Again, never said the refs helped us. Your have always been someone who looks to create conflict.

Rewatching the game this morning, the one call that went our way early was Chucky Hepbruns first foul. Should have 100% been a block on Palmquist and instead they called a charge on Chucky. It was early in the first half but it turned out to be a huge call too because he was in foul trouble the entire game.

Did you see the three offensive fouls Hepburn committed throughout the game, and the refs let it slide? The last one near the end of the game was so bad even Stevie Wonder saw it. Hepburn drove to the basket and extended his left arm into Hyatt, knocking him down. Hyatt gets called for the foul.

The B1G refs are among the worse in college basketball, but every team can complain each game.

Hyatt did not commit offensive goad interference. It was close but the replay on TV clearly showed the ball was tipped in by Hyatt when the ball was about two inches out of the cylinder. The basket that Cliff made and got a free throw when Hepburn flopped might have been questionable but I also saw a couple times when Wahl got away with pushing off. It was about time that we finally got a call to go our way. The refs still owe us a win that we had taken from us at Ohio State when they committed three violations in the last 2.5 seconds. We should be 18-9 overall and 10-6 in BIG games and we can never get that Win that we should have had at Ohio State.
