If anyone has seen it yet, tell us about it.

92% Rotten Tomatoes

76% Meta Critic

What little I've heard is very positive. As I've said in the past, I'm a sucker for the genre.

My brother saw it. His quote was,

I don't want to spoil it for you. All I will say is that it is ******* awesome.

(This is my brother who has authored comic books for Marvel)

I'm pretty burnt out on super hero movies. Hate all the batman movies. Iron Man sucks. Thor was just dumb. Hulks were horrible. Capt America was mediocre.

The only ones worth a damn lately are Guardians and DeadPool.

AC's spoiler free review:

I enjoyed it (I love almost all of these movies when I first see them). It was a great popcorn flick. I'm not sure it was the best all-time comic book movie and I'm not sure I liked it better than Winter Soldier, but it was still worth the money.

I'll likely see it again, but then again I'm a comic book nerd.

Spiderman's intro to the Marvel universe was very well done imo.

I was told this really showcases the Winter Soldiers skills. In fact, I've heard from three people "the Winter Soldier is a bad ***." Since I read the comic series I won't expound on why it makes sense to me that they would emphasize it. But I'd love to hear a confirmation that he is in fact a complete bad *** in this. It's not like he was a slouch in the first one but I'm sure you get my point.

Confirmed...from a comic book fan (me) that just finished watching. They do the character justice.

I enjoyed it very much. I won't say it's the best yet, but it is definitely worth the price of admission. It's definitely a "bridge movie" to transition into Phase III, but the story is solid if a bit complicated. The fight scenes are awesome. It has some great humorous moments too. It's for sure in the top 5 for me. Guardians of the Galaxy is probably #1. The Captain America: Winter Soldier.

The Spider-man portrayal is perfect....the right tone for the first time ever, IMO. Black Panther is near perfection also. He has always been one of my favorite characters.

Two post credit scenes.

I was wondering if this would be the case since Kevin Feige was finally going to be involved with Spider-man. DC needs to find their Feige, desperately.

Apparently DC is gaga over the script Affleck wrote for the stand alone Batman. So impressed, he's now been named executive producer for Justice League. Not a vote of confidence for Snyder. Rumor is that his script is on the Arkham storyline.

Affleck going all in is good for the franchise. He was really good in the movie. Hopefully he can steer things in a positive direction.

Couldn't agree more. Hollywood is annoyingly trendy. It went through that Vietnam movie phase in the 80's, World War II phase in the late 90's, and now we're stuck with superhero silliness time and time again. Apparently, Hollywood thinks the country is made up of 17 year olds.

Fortunately, aside from Ghostbusters, the remake thing is slowing down. And then you have TV shows. I don't know how Scooby Doo and Dukes of Hazzard ever got green -lighted based on the massive success of the Beverly Hillbillies in 1993.

As long as they keep making tons of dough, they'll keep making them.

Liked Captain America. It seems to be getting stronger as the series goes on.

On the original films front, The Nice Guys looks like it is going to be great.

Just saw it. Was pretty good. Not sure that it meets the hype of best ever but an enjoyable movie.
