Nope just tired of some of you guys acting like some of the Mt. Airy fans of the past. Maybe worse . How many threads does one need to talk about how good someone is going to be?

Early prediction, gosnells don’t play ( inside info ) and with or without the cards fall in the third or forth round to a Swain County or Murphy team if they are up in the 1aa. Both teams will be to physical for the Cards. I hope not, I really do, I pull for all northwest teams when the playoffs come. This team is extremely reminiscent of last years North Stanly team. I’ve seen this story play out to many times over the years. Some of the best Ablemarle teams didn’t want any of Murphy playoff time , same with the Bears last year, Swain was their demise, same way in the ship in 2009, it was robbinsville that sent a banged up bears team to what ended up being their demise in the ship. Teams here are athletic as all get out, but just can’t handle the wood that comes off that mountain, they might win the game that night , both with swain and robbinsville . But lost the next week , cause they were so beat up that they could play . It’s a shame , but it’s a fact.
I agree with most of this post that the mountain teams are far more physical than teams around here however I do not see East losing 3rd or 4th round the West seems to be a little down this year and East is the clear favorite. Also I have no idea where you got your “inside information” but it’s blatantly false sorry to bust your MA loving bubble, the Gosnells are playing. The principal and AD have already gotten it cleared with the NCHSAA.

I think everyone worried over the Gossnels is just worried about it for the sake or ES while they disguise it as "what's best for the kids." Geez these poor kids have captured about as much attention as Lebron does on ESPN. Let them live their life and if they play they play.
Benji played yesterday. Steven didn't because of a hip injury. End of story. Some people in Pilot must have just gotten an internet connection in their mom's basement. Y'all pitiful. We will see but I am hearing some serious noise on this . Not from the bear faithful, but coming from the other side of the county. It’s not a done deal yet by any stretch of the imagination. I am hearing if east Wilkes takes a loss on opening night with the gosnells on the field that it will be challenged. That’s the word on the streets. It does not matter where the “info” is coming from if it’s false it’s false. They can challenge what they want but the NCHSAA has approved the move and that’s a FACT.

They can protest and whoever else can protest all they want. If the NCHSAA has approved them to play, then it’s not really going to matter.
Not approved , still being looked at , last post on this topic. I for one hope they do play, they grew up in the community so to me they are cardinals. They played little league , middle school, and JV in pilot Mountain. It is reliable info. Prediction holds true - 3rd to 4th round exit to a Smokey mountain team. If Murphy goes big I see them in the ship, and yes I see David Gentry giving the vikes all they want , if anyone knows anything about the wing t it’s him, he’s a master. I’m not doubting the info you have that someone will challenge their return. However, I really don’t know what that team/coach could challenge. The kids legitimately moved back to their family house in Pilot Mtn (about 500 yards from the school...same house they’ve grown up in forever), the kids are enrolled and taking classes at ES, and I was told that the administration contacted the NCHSAA before the kids were ever allowed to practice and were told directly by Que Tucker that the kids were in the clear - they were physically moving back into the district from out of state. If she was quoted as giving direct approval before they ever practiced, then what on earth could be legitimately argued? Seems like the opposing team who challenges it will just be wasting their time in a vain attempt to pick up a forfeit.
I think their are a lot of things concerning this don’t really need to be discussed here. There’s a lot of variables that people in the know are very aware of. I think whe it comes to kids , parents and programs that haven’t had success translate into deep runs or championships considering the talent they have had you tend to do things outside the norm. Especially when a community puts intense pressure and expectations on you. To me the kids played there their entire life’s so why should it change now. If east don’t get it done this year with all the d1 talent they have they never will. I’m sure we will all be hearing more about this in weeks to come , a lot more

Exactly. How many D1 prospects has Tarboro, Swain, Ablemarle, WRH, Elkin, Thomasville, Murphy and Robbinsville to name a few turned out over the last 20 years?
How much loudmouthing have we heard from MIC about their D1 prospects? What do they have to show. Mount Airy has produced 3 D1 players that I know of in recent years. How many titles do they have?

That's true ,East has the talent ,but they still gotta bring it , a lot of hype doesn't deter a teenage kid ,kids are gonna want to beat them ,target is on East for sure ,community has big expectations for these kids ,I wouldn't want to be coach Lowman lots of pressure!
It's finally nice to see that East has several athletes that can flat play ,I'm not just talking the main four ,there are many other players being overshadowed by all the hype ,Bullington boys ,Whitt ,Evans ,and the defense looked very fast on the ball ,East here's your chance seize the moment.

I'm a East fan for sure ,but honestly the biggest potential of any of those kids is Isacc Washington ,no doubt Auburn try's for him ,quickness in a kid that size is rare,and yes they gotta be a unit !
It was approved before they ever took the field for practice your information is completely false I know you obviously trust your “sources” but bottom line is they are wrong this time.

Some of these "fans" are not really East Surry fans. They are Mount Airy, North Surry, and West Stokes fans who are pretending to be Cardinal fans to make them look bad. Trust me, the majority of the East Surry fan base is nothing like a few of the posters on here.
