LSU is the easiest school in the country to recruit at. Louisiana has more NFL players per capita than anywhere else, there is ZERO in-state competition, you're right next to Texas, and the majority of top the kids in the state are Tigers from birth. Since the level of state pride there is second to none, it takes very little effort to keep most of the top kids at home. There's really only one team that is a threat to LSU for Louisiana players and that's Bama, and if it wasn't for the connections that Saban made during his time at LSU, we probably wouldn't have any success in Louisiana. Can you imagine if there was no Auburn and Saban had the entire state of Alabama to himself? That would be about what LSU's recruiting advantage is, yet Miles averaged 3-4 losses per year from 2008-2015. He's the worst clock manager in the country, is horrible at making adjustments, can't develop a QB to save his life, and is incredibly stubborn. Miles wasn't even a top 10 coach in the country entering this season. By no means is he the worst coach, but he's not a great coach like many think that he is.
