If Myers Park doesn’t eat everyone’s lunch, apple, and yogurt this year, it sure might surprise me.

Had Hough preseason #1 LY. Vance was 6th or 7th. Preseason rankings in May are silly. Rosters and even coaches will change alot by August.
S2V2 You switch names but your football knowledge is still the same. ZERO on a scale of 1-10. You're not coming out of the West without a Trench game. You have a History of making horrible picks without zero insight. 2 years ago it was Scotland County, last year it was Richmond in this year it's MP. As I said on my previous post. They were exposed last year against Vance. Couldn't run the ball and couldn't stop the run. They rely on their passing game. Shut that down and they're toast. They're going to have problems stopping front 7's and with their run offense against the better teams. Nothing new with you. You're surprised every year. You always come up short.
The trenches are the most important part of the game so they matter
No way Meyers Park wins anything significant this year unless they greatly improve line play. Their very soft conference schedule won’t help either.
Dont get me wrong I think Maye is the truth and so is the Muhammad/ Rooks duo. But an aerial attack can only get u so far....ask the 2016 Kingsley ifedi Vance team. All was good til the grass turned brown. If u dont have decent line play along with defense u wont b playing in December. Not saying that they wont b good but they lost 2 much from the lines and on the defense.
I was going 2 say that it was that guy buy wasnt sure. How much he bandwagon jumps now that hes on the MP train its obvious who it is smh.

Vance has probably one of the best defenses in the State returning. Everybody assuming parents can just pack up and move. Not that easy. Unless you move to Hough. They have free housing.

You may be right. Popular belief is now that Myers Park has knocked Mallard Creek out of the Queen City spotlight. Has Myers Park ever won a state title? Not being sarcastic. I just can’t recall..

This may be a regional poll BUT the word on Wake Forest isn’t good.........UNLESS you’re a Wake Forest Fan. I talked with a guy connected with the team over a year ago before last season. He told me there wouldn’t be any drop off from the Championship team and he was right....they won the Championship again. This year I talked to guy who’s son was a big impact player last year and transferred in to play. He told me he works with team and they gotta bunch of impact transfers again. Inside my head I was swearing like a sailor when he told me this, he also told me no drop off this year. For the record, I’m not a high school insider,
I’m simply a sales rep working the Wake Forest territory and I occasionally run into Wake Forest people in the know. Last year Middle Creek JV and Richmond JV both clobbered the Wake Forest JV so I was cautious ly optimistic that a page would be turned this season.......oh well.

If you put Wake Forest in the west. They're not winning any titles. Must be real nice to play 4 cupcake games in the playoffs without any real competition until you get to the state final. Compare that to facing Butler in round 2, Hough round 3, Vance round 4 and MC in the regional, good luck

Mr Nepsy7 I was responding to viper. Spotlight meaning that all the best coaches and players are from the Charlotte area and no other teams are relevant seems to be the popular opinion right now. Myers Park being the team everyone seems to be high on now. Have you jumped ship from Mallard Creek to Vance now? Get ready to take ya whooping from Tommy Knotts and DF. FNG
that's y I was hoping for RC to go east so at least that would give a little balance over there. So I guess it's a cakewalk to the title game again for WF smh
I'll defend nepsy in saying when a team is good u gotta give props. I'm far from a creek fan but know better to say that DF will blow them out. 2 much talent and good coaching to give that prediction. Unless like creek did against Hough last yr and jus fumble n turn the ball over like crazy would that happen.

Are you talking football, or feel good story for yourself? In regards to Tommy Knotts. Win or lose, The Creek schedules the top teams that are available with no fear. Butt whooping build character. Who's your squad have on the schedule?

Have a tremendous amount of respect for Wake Forest. That was a physical group of men at Vance last year and WF beat them ( very tight game). Would there road be tougher in the West. No question but I am not gonna minimize what they have accomplished. Lucas's group play a punch you in the mouth style that I love.

I have zero issues with MP being pre-season #1. They may have the best combo of QB and wideouts in the country. They will be a handful for anyone. However, history has shown us over the past 10-15 years that in November it is important to be able to run it and stop the run. Aldridge and Vance did a number on the Oline and on Bowick. If you cant keep a defense like Vance or MC just a little honest it is real hard to complete 50% or more of your throws.
This shows the difference between people who look at football for cosmetics and people who know football. I always go back 2 what I always say when I mention our 2016 Vance team. That team broke records, beat loaded MP, Butler, and MC teams all on the road. But when it came down to playing solid defense and running the ball, we played a well coached stout Page team and got boat raced. I'm not saying MP wont be unbeatable and go on and win it all but I know they lost a LOT on the line and the defense. No matter how many transfers comes in it doesnt compare to a solid group that has been together for a given time and formed a bond compared to when u look for results from transfers.
There are various ways to score points and win a state title. MC did it 3 years in a row with 3 different offenses and 3 completely different ways to move the ball. The one consistent factor in all 4a title winners is defense. They are all in that 12 pts a game or less category. MP was nowhere near that last year. Might be different this year....not sure about that. The top 3 teams in the Imeck were all elite on defense ( when Hough was healthy). 2 of them have nearly everyone coming back. There are going to be some low scoring slugfests in the Imeck this year.
Stop trying to force the process. They are who they are. They played one team that played over 500 ball during the regular season. Butler! LOL!

I answered a question, I didn't force the process. MP played whoever was in front of them, not their fault the conference was weak early.
