Thanks Chopper. I pay attention to the Simmons ratings and your prognostications, too. Last week was an example on calling the KM-Shelby match.
I’d like to see The Dark Horses win this one for Wizard of the East.
Thanks Lincolton, it just want in the cards. We shot ourseves in the foot by far, far too many penalties.

What happen to all that speed ya'll were talkin about?

You were right, looks like Central Cabarrus had too much defensive speed for the 'horses'

Close but -3 and in the opposite direction

Central Cabarrus?
Ya'll better hope you stay small 2A, if you know what's good for you. 2A power Clinton.... I pegged ya'll for knocking off a few(even Wallace). This was one of the weaker 704 teams. Clinton softer than I thought.
Chopper all I'm gonna say is pasquotank

Word on the street is Clinton defense is suffering from alot of broken ankles caused by the Central Cabarrus QB.

yeah from the sound of things on one play the QB Jones hit the juke stick on a nice run...it happens another good player only a sophomore...think CC is better than you give em credit for

Here are my 2 cents take them for what it’s worth:

Clinton IMO spent a lot of time getting in their own way. We have as much speed, and more size than CC but penalties aside we were out played in the 2nd half. 3 turnovers led to 2 scores. Our OLine didn’t play up to their potential. We were way bigger up front but just seemed sluggish all night with little energy across the line. Horses Should’ve been able to push CC around but give them credit, they made up with speed and discipline what they lacked in size.

Horses will be fine moving forward. Let’s just see how we respond. NS-Jax will be a huge test before conference play. Best of luck to CC rest of the year. Go horses!

I agree 04, a whole lot of top 2A teams lost last night. It’s not the end of the world. The defense played good enough to win holding CC TO JUST 19 points, but as you said, the offense couldn’t get out of their own way.. The only criticism I’ll give the officials is the were much , much to slow in everything the did making the game move at a snails pace, and a few of the penalties were tricky tacky. After all those penalties the funniest call of the night was the inadvertent whistle. CC had a really nice stadium and the folks I encountered were very Camile
I saw on th tv news about a game nearby Vance vs Mallard Creek they had a pure spectator brawl of about 50 people that the police had difficulty containing. It was said they caught out the stadium and parking lot to property off campus.. From the description I’m just glad there were no shootings.

Totally off subject but the kid we played against last week Tutt for Pamlico County ran for 462 yards and 8 TDs last night in a 72-56 win....lol not a lick of defense in that game but awesome performance that PC team plays extremely hard i liked their effort

Actually attended this game. Was a sight to see to say the least. Neither team had a defensive presence, but both teams had PLENTY of speed.
