Time one again for the SWO Stallions to run the gauntlet of the brutal Coastal 8 Conference. Last Year it came down to SWO vs Croatan the last game of the year for the Conference Title. I made that game as I was there from Mo. It was over the first 5 minutes. Actually Croatan lost the coin toss and that was as close as they came.

This year only the last game with Richlands will have any interest, as SWO goes for No. 31` in row over the Wildcats. Well all games will be important as a Conference title will get us another #1 and depending on the Non-conference games how high a seed we get.

You must be tongue in cheek. Time for SWO to move to a conference with East Duplin, James Kenan, etc. that will give them better competition.

Believe me, would like nothing less. Used to be in the ECC, great years, great teams, and some state titles.

Gettin close to spring training/practice. Will be interesting to see the back that replaces Jordan. Hes was something special. Also some of the big linemen are gone. Right off the bat have Jacksonville (3A) they went to the title game last year, along with WRH the second game. I think that will more or less show what we got. Dont have to win them just give a decent showing. The forth game with ED, that was a heck of a game and came down to the last series (could very well have won that one). ED also went to the title game. It should give a good indication of what the playoffs will be like for us.

Any SWO posters have info on the upcoming players this year. Havnt seen anything about the team so far.

I was thinkin about 2017 when they lost to Hibriten in title game. Guess I should have mentioned North Eastern who beat us in the Eastern Div title game. With over 35 years following the East in 1A and 2A with SWO it all starts to run together ....

How is Southwest looking this year? I know they've always got a solid program out there.

East Carteret will be competitive this year, but look out for Richlands. They are on the upswing and have the folks in town believing that this is the year they beat Southwest. They don't seem to care about playoffs or beyond, just beat SWO. LOL

Southwest will be solid again, with the potential to be very good again. We have the pieces, it just depends on how hard we work over the summer and how it comes together.

It's southwest's until someone else can step up. I'm thinking Croatan and East will vie with Richlands for 2nd. Southwest runs the gauntlet again.
