For the schools not named Michigan, Ohio St or Penn St. it is a win as they are not fighting for TV time on a Saturday on ESPN The Ocho.
UK fans give UofL fans hell because of all the weekday games we played but the reality is those games got us on TV in front of recruits and helped us get better recruits. While we all didn't like those games midweek there is no denying that those games helped build UofL up.

From what I understand with the B1G deal Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State are pretty much going to be exempt from at minimum home Friday games.

Some B1G media guy on the radio yesterday said it helps schools get exposure. Exposure? Exposure to who? Couch potatoes who decided not to go out on Friday night? It doesn't get them exposure to anyone who matters.

Well the Friday Stanford-Washington game got the Huskies attention with the way they crushed them.

*LOL* Again, exposure to who? Certainly no one that matters. Most people I know are not sitting at home on Friday night. The UW win against Stanford would have gotten the same amount or more attention if it had been played on Saturday.

It put Washington in the spot light and it lead off the Saturday Morning coverage...it was also the highest rated Cable Program on that night ...it was the only game on and remember this....the B1G, Pac 12 and ACC would not be doing this if they didn't see the exposure and $$$

Not every high school plays every Friday night they do have time off plus two of the games will be Labor Day Weekend kids are not in school. One thing most haven't thought about is it gives a chance for NFL scouts to checkout players they may be looking at.

Again....it would have gotten press no matter what day it was played on. When I think of "exposure", I think of getting people that matter (such as high school recruits) to watch you, not some schlub sitting in his recliner on a Friday night. The people that matter (high school recruits) are not watching.

The vast majority of high schools play on Friday night. Bad argument.

That schlub sitting on the couch watching is helping the tv ratings which in turn the conferences can say look we are getting good ratings on Friday we want more money.

It a money grab...Jim Delany the commissioner of the B1G is a master of making it for his league.

So every school in America plays every Friday night and never get a week off ? I honestly don't know as I am a truck driver and spend 6 weeks in the road at a time . So not much time to go watch high school football

Yep.....the vast majority of high schools have always played on Friday night. Open date? You think they are sitting at home? No, they're usually out checking out a future opponent with their teammates and coaches or out on a date. You can spin this as a money grab, because that's all it is....but "exposure" is a really huge stretch.
